Great views, very dark at night, very basic but everything you need for a motorhome or caravan but watch the groin even though it is high up you can still get stuck.
The walk in & out of town is hard on the legs but the view......... awesome.
Ideal base for exploring Holmfirth which is a 25 minute walk Beware the hills are not suitable for the elderly or young children. But well worth the walk for the experience. Campsite basic but clean and owners very friendly
This camping and caravan site is brilliant if you like peace and quite, countryside and stunning views over the Holmfirth valley. The site is a bit difficult to navigate to with a caravan due to the twisty and hilly roads but the owners direct you in when booking and it is worthwhile when you get there.
Holmfirth is only a 25 minute walk away down the hill, where you can sight see, eat and drink and is only a £5 taxi ride back.
The facilities are basic but very good with a shower room with electric shower, 2 toilets and a pot washing station. The caravan plots come with electric and there is a chemical toilet disposal area.
All in all this is a great site and we love it
Stunning views, lovely site. Basic but clean facilities. Owners are really nice. 30 minutes to walk into the village. Highly recommend a visit.
