love this place food good. good service and not long wait to say there was 15 of us

Went here last night for my partners youngest sons 21st birthday.

Very friendly,helpful staff.

All the food was hot and very nice.

We were never waiting long between courses.

I took a birthday cake a few days before,which the staff looked after for me.

They even supplied me with a candle for the cake.

All the staff and waiters were very busy.

We were there two hours and they never stopped.

But all looked happy to be there.

(Which makes a change as some places the staff look like they'd rather be anywhere else in the world lol).

I hadn't been here for about ten years.

The decor hasn't changed much but everything looked clean and tidy.

Very highly recommended.

We will come back.

So, maybe the decor is a bit dated, but apart from that minor point everything was great; Friendly and attentive service, and fabulous food. Yes you have to order it, but it comes promptly and FRESH so it's nice and hot. If you need to order more, again not a problem it won't be long. We went in a group of 7 including a child, enjoyed by all (and midweek offer of one adult free for party over 5 was taken advantage of). And last thing, unlike other local Chinese buffets, there's no surcharges for king prawn (and they were beautifully cooked to boot). We will return!

Me & my son came Wednesday was lovely and we really enjoyed it � we've been a few times now as my son really loves his Chinese X

I enjoyed it and they catered for vegetarians, good food and great company. Very aytentive staff.

Great food and service , plenty of choice

Excellent food and staff were attentive and friendly, enjoyable evening.

Came here with my boyfriend and son, we loved the food very tasty especially the spare ribs, skewers with peanut butter sauce, mussels and the chicken in satay. Good service aswell, friendly waiter and a lady managed to entertain my son for a good half an hour 😊 Would recommend and come again

Absolutely beautiful food and friendly staff would highly recommend the rising sun to anyone.

Good food & reasonable drinks prices. Will definitely visit again.

Gone down hill to what it used to be like when Michelle owned it

poor standard off food and really slow when wanting order food and drinks...

Will not be going again....................................

Real shame it states Buffet but its not a buffet at all....had 4 children getting restless while waiting for the food to be cooked....beware the chicken balls. Pre cooked and like bullets when they came out. All dishes very small. It is all you eat but when you have to keep asking for more...how many actually do?



We used to use this regularly for our take away when we lived in Chesterfield and could rarely fault it. Was a real let down on our occasional visit to see family. Cost a lot for a family of 7 especially when the children were unsure of what to order they were looking forward to getting their own food and trying all the different dishes on display.



Would i recommend... unfortunately no i wouldn't �

Very very poor service. Had to order certain starter dishes twice, as we didn't receive the dishes after the first time of ordering. There was no apology, and it was as though they didn't care. The food wasn't as nice as O'tokuda (Japanese Restuarant in Chesterfield).
