A Very Housy Halloween 😁

A huge weekend lined up here at Riva. We are currently getting the bar decked out ready for some spooky shenanigans.

What an absolute gem of a place. We had been given a Groupon voucher as a joint birthday gift and we loved every thing about it. An amazing restaurant with an incredible view. It was dark so made it even more special looking out over the river! Food was delicious and plenty of choices on the varied menu. Something to please even the fussiest of people (my husband!). Waiting staff very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Restaurant keeps much of the old pier features which are fascinating to look up at. Would highly recommend a visit. Want to go back in the daytime to check out the view!

What a gem - a unique venue on the Thames. Watch the sun go down over the river whilst sipping cocktails � soaking up the fantastic vibe, music � and DJ’s � Friday and Saturday evenings.

Lovely view across the river, a welcome drink whilst waiting for the ferry.Sadly, we can't visit of an evening ,as the ferry back doesn't run late enough but can imagine it's a great place to sit on a summers evening.

Just for a beer or two...great view of ships going out...very nice....barman too....served us at our table

The staff are very friendly food is great.

I recently use the bar for my mothers wake the staff on the the day made it go smoothly the buffet was very good well set out

Great cocktails last weekend at Riva.. the cocktail bartender was fabulous and extremely knowledgeable. Best porn star martini ever. Would totally recommend

Faaaaanatastic venue, lovely atmosphere, staff and people. The new Friday night's are awesome ... great music and give which is a pleasant change for Gravesend.

Brilliant service !!! Brilliant food!!!! Fantastic waiter, he truly is a credit to the restaurant. This man tended to every need along with automatically asking half way through the meal whether he could provide hot water for the baby bottle. This is the first time anyone has asked us instead of us asking them.



The food is exceptional as are the people who work there.

We visit here to go to the jazz on the second Thurs of each month!when we first came we used to have the set jazz menu then they changed to normal menu !!The food is nice but it used to be better the portions have got a lot smaller but same prices !!my husband had the ribs eye steak which was a bit scraggy especially for £20 ! I had the burger which was tasty but again small for nearly £14 also the service charge is high over 8 pounds for the 2 of us !!I wish restaurants would not do this i want to be able to choose how much I pay for my service etc!!also it was pretty cold in the restaurant area last night !!it's a shame as lovely setting etc and the jazz isn't greatly attended i think because it's not advertised anywhere apart from Facebook and most of the people who go to see Dr jazz are much older and are not on Facebook!!it's a shame as they are so good!!

Visited the Riva Bar for a Retirement party, the evening proved very good,

DJ played good music, staff were very attentive and helpful.

We had a basic set menu for £25 which was adequate but I feel could have been better.

Service charge was removed at my request and a tip was collected for the staff.

Would have liked the manager to have been a bit more proactive in helping us organise

things such as wine choices etc. Did email her several times but got no help on that matter.

Overall we had a great night, and would certainly consider again for other work functions that we have.

Popped in with the family and 2 grandsons for a drink. Music on with the DJ Simon my grandson loved it up there doing the dec's having the time of his life great atmosphere. By the way my grandson is 4 ����

Nice place to go if you want something a bit different as this place has lovely views and great food and drink, service was excellent , all staff very friendly and helpful, they even have a room for private functions, I like the calming interior and the fact you get your drinks in the correct glass, we had a platter of meats, olives,cheese and bread and it was lovely, would highly recommend 😁

I came here with my partner on a Groupon deal. We had to wait in the bar before anyone came out.

Taken through to the restaurant, beautiful views. Service was slow, although only another six people dining.

Food was very good, although drinks very expensive. Our usual wine was £29, so we opted for a cheaper red at £19.

We were over charged on the bill, and a discretionary 12.5% service charge added, which again showed the wrong amount, as it had been added before the over charge.

All in all, the food was good, great location, friendly waitress.

But lacked atmosphere, which is a shame for a restaurant in a good location.

Will go back, but just be aware of the expensive drinks and discretionary service charge, which you don't have to pay.

My daughter brought a Groupon deal for a 3 course meal for mothers day. But unfortunately the waitress didn't think it was important to tell us which dishes we had 2 pay more for.. it wasn't until I looked at the dessert menu that it was on the bottom of the page. When I asked the waitress why she hadnt explained which dishes we had 2 pay more she said I should of looked at the terms and conditions of the Groupon deal. I explained to her that it would of been nice of her 2 explain which dishes were more expensive and she was quite rude. So unfortunately not a very pleasant experience.

It was our 1st time there yesterday to have dinner celebrating my husband’s bday. Found a particular staff member there extremely unfriendly and forceful. We were told there had been a pigeon attack and caused some mess so we couldn’t sit by the window with great views of the river- very disappointing as it was one of the reasons why I booked.

The restaurant was practically empty yet we waited, waited & waited for food... the restaurant was extremely hot and sticky which spoiled the experience for us. We could have been offered the seats we were keen on once the tables were cleaned but this wasn’t done.

Food was tasty once served and although I paid for the service charge of 12.5%, I wished I hadn’t.

Bought a Groupon deal for my mum and dads anniversary. They had their meal last night paid for their drinks and got charged £7 service charge because they got charged it for the whole meal. Bit of a joke being as I had bought it for them expecting them to have a night out on me then they ended up paying £16 for a drink each �
