Rivendell Guest House

Lyn and I cant believe its another year gone by, with all the refurbishments and extra work its been very busy. So we would like to just say Thank You and Happy Christmas to all our Guests, Friends and family that have stayed with us, supported us and encouraged us, because without YOU we could not do this. Please all have an Amazing Christmas and Healthy new year. Thank You Lyn and Kevin not forgetting Finlay XXX

Throughout November, December and January we offer room only at our much discounted winter room only rate. All the other usual facilities are still available, free WIFI, tea/coffee in room, guest lounge, SKY TV. www.rivendell-guesthouse.co.uk or chec out the Studios for self catering www.therivendellstudios.co.uk

So we near the end of breakfast service until January 18. Rooms are on a room only basis and winter rate from November 1st until January 18. The two studio rooms have been a great success with positive feedback. Some more refurbishment to be done after Christmas.

This morning is the first morning this year we had no breakfast service, lay in until 7.30zzzzzzz Bliss, business as usual tomorrow

So Almost September 1st..2 new mega flows replaced, all new pipe work, leaks fixed, washing machine replaced, tumble dryer replaced, dish washer replaced, i phone replaced (don't ask) van fixed, electrics re wired due to flood, not run for 5 weeks, but never missed one breakfast service, tempers were frayed, hash browns known to fly, God sworn at on more than one occasion. But the light is still shining and we are here to tell the tail, but trust me you really wont want to listen, will you??

What a season so far..... Kids broke up July 19th utility room floods due to bust pipe, flooding washing machine and tumble dryer, both commercial units, finely get sorted after lots of messing about from our supplier and install should be this week, so best and busiest part of summer with no laundry equipment, just a small test.... But Lyn and I are still smiling, we have had some amazing guests so far and lots of now friends returning, some in there 10th year!!! We are so blessed and thank all our Guests for their continued visits to Rivendell and Swanage. The new rooms and self contained suites are working really well and we are so pleased, the feed back has been amazing. Thank you all, Kevin and Lyn

Wow when you look back.......

Monday 3 rd March the Guest House Re Opens in full, proudly displaying our new rooms. Thank you to Ryan Egan without who's help and skill this would not have be possible.

Peter Egan 2nd to none.... except Andy Halls lol.......

Part of the job that sadly goes unnoticed yet the most important Peter Egan on lead work Andy Halls and Luke Egan on slates, what an amazing team, without these guys not sure where we would be.

So the first of the Studio rooms is nearing completion....

On Behalf of Lyn and i not forgetting Finlay we would like to wish all our Guest that have stayed or yet to stay a very Happy and Healthy Christmas with all our blessings for the coming year. There are changes ahead after 10 years that will better serve our guests, but we enter into them full of the knowledge knowing we are blessed and for that we are truly grateful.
