I’m Gary Palmer, and I’m a professional fishing guide. My aim is to provide a guiding service that exceeds your expectations. There is a lot goes into being a good guide and I work very hard to ensure that a day fishing with me is a memorable experience. I specialise in lure fishing trips for hungry predators…Pike, Zander, Perch and even Chub. Most of my trips are on the beautiful rivers Severn and Warwickshire Avon, fishing from my exceptionally safe and stable boat.

But my guiding services aren’t just about catching fish ! Maybe you’re looking to buy yourself a boat and want to get a feel for launching, navigating and handling a craft. Maybe you want to learn a new fishing skill: vertical jigging, drop-shotting, surface fishing or using swimbaits. I can also give you a host of advice about fishfinders and how to interpret them properly or maybe you’ve never caught a Zander and are keen to break your duck. Whatever it is you’d like to get out of a day’s guided fishing, I’m happy to chat through the whole day and work out an itinerary that would suit you.





THE BOAT

The Linder 445 Catch is custom built thoroughbred sports fishing boat with a fishing platform in the bow and plenty of room in the stern to stand and fish in.

Suitable for jerk bait, spinning and vertical fishing.

Equipped with two folding fishing chairs. The chair mounts are placed in the stern and bow.

The 445 Catch is also an excellent and very stable boat that is at home on sea, river or lake.

Running a Yamaha 30hp engine means we can get to the fishing spots and get fishing quickly (approx. 26 knots)

The 445 Catch comes equipped with: a steering console; a fishing rod box (also serves as a step); ample stowage space (e. g. for batteries, fishing equipment, fuel, etc. ); a chequered “floor plate; an automatic bilge pump; several power outlets; easy-to-grip toe rails with grab rails; and, an electrical system.

The 445 Catch is also kitted out with a Minn Kota Powerdrive 70 on the bow for all day silent running.

The 445 Catch is kitted out with finders from Humminbird including the 998c HD SI Combo and the 1198c SI Combo with both units featuring Side Imaging, Down Scan, Switchfire, GPS etc.

There are no more cold and wet hands now as the Catch is also equipped with a Minn Kota Winch to allow remote operation of the anchor.

THE TACKLE

I can offer the latest fishing tackle to all of my guests with equipment from Savage Gear and Spro line from Sunline and some of the latest lures to hit the market.

METHODS

All methods are used from casting, trolling, vertical jigging, dropshotting, etc I can demonstrate and teach any or all methods and have the best tackle for each of the methods. If you are considering buying new rods or reels why not try before you buy. Also now available bait fishing days .

BOOKINGS
Trips are normally 8 hours if you want more or less just ask and I can work out an exact package to meet your needs. I am available for hire 7 days a week depending on bookings.

SAFETY
Of course I supply lifejackets I am fully insured and have not lost a client yet !

COST
For a standard 8 hour day on the Rivers Severn and Avon in the Tewkesbury area the total price is £225. 00 for the first angler and £325. 00 for two this includes all tackle use and permits, launch fees etc. If you are looking at days out elsewhere i. e. The Gloucester Canal please call for a quote.
