What can i say the cottages are incredibly amazing. Steven and phillip are fantastic they accommodated for us at last minute and welcomed us with open arms. I loved staying and cant wait for our next getaway here. I highly recommend staying at the cottages you will not be disappointed.

What a stunning place! Gorgeous gardens, cute cottages and the lovely Steve and Phil. Four and a half of us had a fab few days at River Nene Cottages for the Tour of Cambridgeshire. Ideal location, not too far from shops etc but set in the stunning countryside at Water Newton, Peterborough. The walks from your front door were idyllic, Louise and I had a few strolls into the meadow showing 2 year old Niko the bugs and Swans on the river with their signets and further along to spot the Steam Trains heading to and from Wansford station. Spending the evenings at the riverside in your beautiful garden was the perfect end to a busy day. Thank you both for your hospitality and good luck with your first wedding in August - we're working on the boys ;-) xx

We stayed at River Nene Cottages this weekend with my 2 children for 2 nights. It was FANTASTIC! Really comfortable and clean. The owners Phil and Steve were very helpful and we had a great weekend away. We will be back!

Visited for a charity event so can’t claim to have stayed in the cottages, but if the gardens and hospitality are a guide, you’re in for a treat. Idyllic setting, great hosts, charming little hamlet.

Very beautiful and quiet, perfect for a calm holliday. The owners are very very nice.

Utterly stunning location and hospitality. Beautifully over-spec'd and the owners have put a huge amount of thought and care into making sure that these cottages are perfect. Love the beds (very comfy). Water Newton itself is a lovely place to unwind, the cottages are close to the river, and there are easy walks along the river bank & over the water meadows to Castor. Well worth it.

The most welcoming and accommodating place and people! Recommend staying at River Cottages a million times over. I can't wait to go stay again!! ��

River Nene Cottages is absolutely beautiful! We stayed in Coach Cottage and really enjoyed the English countryside. The historical cottage was lovingly restored and decorated. It's fully furnished and there's Netflix too! Also there are amazing country walks by the River Nene and through farmland. Stephen and Philip are excellent and generous hosts! River Nene Cottages is highly recommended for a picturesque vacation in the English countryside.

Beautiful up stairs restored cottage, natural beams modern kitchen but fully in keeping with rest of accommodation. Lovely bathroom too.

Attended a wedding reception, the setting is stunning as the sun glared across the river on to the green, throwing shards of sun through the willow tree.

Anniversaries are great! Throw in long time, generous and warm friends; a setting to die for; history as only England can have; passion and commitment in life and love; well then you have Rivernene Cottages. Find it and stay a while.

Amazing Place to just get away and relax

After a long day of travelling we were welcomed by the lovely hosts Steven And Phillip. Back in the UK for a family emergency we were looking for a perfect place to call home for a week. Cleanliness and tranquility were a priority as we were travelling with our 3 month old. We found that in Barley Cottage. Fantastic value for money, idyllic location and guests who were so very helpful. Highly recommend this location if you have business on A1M near Peterborough / Stamford or looking for a riverside location with a great network to visit Cambs, Lincs and Rutland!

Absolutely breathtaking views, warm friendly staff , the absolute full package!

Would highly recommend to any central dweller looking for an blissful retreat. :)
