Riverside Leisure Park

My problem is not with the cavan that was ok for the price. I paid £15 for me and my two boys to go in the club for Halloween for the buffet when the buffet opend my boys was hungry so we go to get food thinking there will be enough to get them full what a joke 2 little triangle of a sandwich and some doritos per child and me chilly and rice I'm not even going to bother what a shambles. And to top it of we go for breakfast in the morning to the cafe pay £26 for 2 full English and some toast 45 minutes later still nothing the manager wouldn't come out when I ask for her as she was to busy cooking I ask for a refund.
and as we was Sat there they let dogs into the cafe thankfully I didn't eat in there what a nasty horrible thing to do to a customer they just don't car but happy to take your money should all lose there jobs the way we was treated.
Love the caravan though

Lovely site, well set out, great facilities including a swimming pool all very clean and tidy. Definitely worth a visit, we will be back soon.

This was a last minute decision to stop here but will not be coming back. We checked in and was told that renovations were still going on which was fine. We were not told that you had to book the swimming pool and when we went to take a look the woman was very rude in telling us we were not aloud to pass the desk in outdoor clothing and we had no chance of booking the time we wanted. I went to the toilet block to take a shower and children of both sexes were playing hide and seek in the ladies, they weren't young kids and should of known better. The shower cubicles were just that, if you wanted to keep your clothes dry you had to put them on the wooden benches in the communal area. When I was showering I felt like I was getting scolded the water was that hot and even now a day later the top of my head is sore and feeling burnt. They definitely need updating. The only 2 things that saved this park from getting 0 stars was the play park that my grandson loved and the breakfast from the cafe, oh but make sure you keep your bank card with you as the cafe and bar do not accept cash!!

We had a great time at Riverside. The showers were nice and hot and the shows. We're good.the only down side was there was everything has to be paid for by card.

Lovely place, perfect for families. Toilets could be cleaner, entertainment staff could a bit more friendly towards paying customers. Caravan was beautiful and clean. Close to southport pier. Would recommend for a long weekend

What a great peaceful place.. (visited June 2017) Might get a little bit noisier in the 6 weeks holiday, but it's not gonna be that bad in the static caravans... Beautiful surroundings, both in and outside the park. Lovely river running through, lots of bird life. Caravans very clean etc even got an iron and board (board under the double bed if you can't find.. Iron in kitchen cupboard 😜) great playground for kids and they're just making a splash park, the jets of water thing that shoot up and around. Bar and cafe (bit expensive) and they only accept card payments so you're aware. Shop takes cash.
Lots to do places to go around here too.. Massive beach, train ride up the pier, lovely bar with live singer under the pier... Come book in, doubt you'll be disappointed... I'm coming again!!

Great holiday with regular public transport into Southport and even bus right through to Liverpool or Preston. New developments for children's play area.

Just come home from a 3 night stay at riverside. Me and my boyfriend came here for our anniversary and for some peace and quiet!! We had a lovely time, and it was more than we bargained for really. If you don't have a car and will be using public transport, I'm not to sure if this is the place for you as the town centre is about 15 minutes in the car and not really a walk away. The town centre is very good with more shops than you would think.
The only bad thing we have to say is that the main bedroom in the caravan was very cold. There was a tiny radiator that just didn't warm the room up enough because there was a vent in the room too. But there was another bedroom we slept in that was smaller and a lot warmer. When we handed in our keys and told her, she said we should have left the heating on all night!! (We don't envy their bill!) We didn't use any of the facilities within the park as we went out for the days we were there and just used the van to sleep and relax. We had our own boiler with heating and hot water and it was lovely and warm and cosy. Considering we were staying in a caravan, the shower was very good.
We did pay for a pool pass at £10 for both of us for all three days but we didn't use is as the weather was very cold and we saw some of the reviews and didn't want to risk it 🙈 So we can't give any reviews on that matter.
All in all if you want somewhere to get away for a reasonable price, and to feel like your at home, this is the place to go! We would definitely stay here again, but I can imagine it being a very different atmosphere during the bust season.
The van was in a very good and clean condition with all cooking instruments you could need!

Nice place horrible people and the girl who runs the pool is a misrable cow who meed to be taken to the feild and shot full off inbreeds

been on site with family for a week caravan was ok we went to talk about buying static was told to wait someone would be with us 25 mins later still waiting so we went no wifi only in cafe then that went down was told it was broke staff in ofice where not intrested in what you where saying i wont go back think its run by clowns
