Nice and relaxing

AVOID AT ALL COSTS...

So we have a touring caravan on this site on a seasonal pich, this is the first seasonal pich we have had on this site and will be the very last.

This site is very against tents. Staff are incredibly rude there is a woman (quite short) which was seen pointing and verbally telling this man where his tent should be (to the very inch that made her happy might i add)

I then asked this man that was behind the bar a very simple yes or no question but no he talked to me like a child and made me very unwelcome.

The quite short woman and the man behind the bar i think might of been the owners of the site which if that is true i am appalled at the way they treat there clients.

I was walking past another woman who i'm sure is one of the wardens on this site and i said morning and she politely replied back which made me smile (Just like every member of staff on the site should but they defiantly do not)

oh and one more point because they say that they have a clubhouse on site they demand a high premium just for the disappointment to find out that the side is discussing, only one or two nice people on the site shame they are not the owners if the owners are who i think they are.

A very nice campsite on walkingdistance to a beautiful town.

When booking staff were very particular and obstructive, demanding EXACT dimensions of the tents we were taking, despite informing them that they were four man tents. On arrival we were greeted by the reception staff, who did not know anything about the workings of the campsite. We were taken to our 'pitch'......behind the toilet block where the waste disposal point was. It was directly under large trees and our tent was damaged by tree sap and large amounts of bird droppings. (note: this is not a campsite set up to cater for tents, it is for static and touring caravans, tents are squeezed into the back space where caravans would not fit just to make an extra bit of cash). With the tent being pitched behind the toilet block the lights flood lit the tents the entire night. Staff are less than helpful. Barriers on the site were lowered at 9pm and despite the booklet saying passes could be acquired from reception at a £10 deposit we were told we could not have one. We were advised that if we did stay out past 9pm we had to knock on the staff building to be let back in. Felt like this was a massive inconvenience. All in all if you did not want to stay on the site for the entertainment and you were not a regular weekender at this site....you were not very welcome!

summary: Wouldn't go back to this site, very disappointed. Not worth the money.

We live at the top of ure bank top and have lived here a considerable amount of years and have had cars damaged,windows broken and speeding heavily loaded trucks and wagons rumbling past our door at very silly times in the name of progress on the flower of may campsite,we have men and ladies using our outside walls at a urinal and pets doing there toileting outside our doors. Our vehicals have been broken into up and down the street and have had mirrors and glass broken. So many times have the police been called to this campsite.we live in fear each time the new seasons begins as some of the visitors are not what should be allowed on decent streets.however I have seen the birds mrs berklay speaks of and I agree they do need help.
