What a great family friendly hotel. It's very traditionally decorated, but it's very clean and in this sunshine I felt like we were in Spain. With an outdoor pool and indoor pool aswell with great shower facilities, evening entertainment and a pucca breakfast in the morning. The rooms are clean and comfy. Great stay. Parking on site , amazing beach side park 2 min walk away ...and the beach..WOW clear water yellow sands...STUNNING ! Friendly, helpful staff.

We stayed here last night my friend and i as a pamper and evening off from noisy kids and to relax.

We did precisely that! Excellent food, amazing breakfast, fabulous staff which are a credit to the manager Jan... helpful, always smiling and attentive. Lovely room...the terrace was a lovely surprise and we made use of it sat relaxing. The pool and Jacuzzi area are clean and again relaxing and welcoming with superb facilities. I would definitely stay again as we felt valued and at home here and the manager himself obviously does a fantastic job running a tight but happy ship. Well done to you all and a huge thankyou to all of you for being fabulous. Highly recommended this hotel. ’┐Į

We actually booked this hotel by accident but itŌĆÖs amazing value for money and will definitely be returning ’┐Į

So IŌĆÖm 5 days overdue with my second and itŌĆÖs my daughters 3rd birthday today, so planned a small afternoon tea for some family at the Riveria Hotel in Alum Chine with a princess makeover for LO. I honestly can not believe the effort the Hotel went to for us. We had a room full of toys, they had set up a craft table for the kids, we used the pool, they had made little party bags for the children. The spa lady was fab, nothing was too much trouble. IŌĆÖm so so happy with how today went, I was feeling awful that I hadnŌĆÖt really gone to any effort for LOs birthday but now IŌĆÖm so glad we did what we did. Thank you to the amazing staff at the hotel for your patience with us and for making my daughters birthday a truly memorable day. We will be back soon. Xxx

My self and family have stayed at many hotels in Bournemouth.I found the management and staff to be the most friendly we have stayed at, food was great for adults and children, rooms were nice and clean. We all had a fantastic weekend at the riviera hotel and apartment s.

My partner and I stayed at the hotel one night, and I couldn't be more happy. The hotel is very nice and with a nice decoration. Staff friendly and the bar was amazing, with delicious food. The rooms where nice, very well care furniture and very clean in general. I'm a hotel receptionist and I must say that it was the best hotel I ever stayed in my life. I recommend and I will return definitely.



The only recommendation I do to the hotel is....please put some A/C in the rooms ’┐Į

My husband and I had our wedding here over the weekend. I really couldn't fault a single thing, the day was absolutely beautiful. The staff were all amazing, they went out of their way to make the day a special one. They catered for different guests dietery requirements without any issues (and the food was fabulous), provided us with so many little added extras. I found the whole experience stress free thanks to all of them and their amazing hard work. I have had so many guests commenting on how delicious the food was and beautiful the day. The evening was so much fun and the dj was fantastic. A huge thank you, both Jon and I can't wait to come for our meal on our first anniversary! =)

My hubby and I have just had the privilege of a weekend at the Bournemouth Riviera hotel and what a privilege it was. We were the incredibly lucky winners of the summer competition and joined the hotel for their Big Band weekend.

From a very warm welcome from Lucy and Billy upon arrival we were shown to our lovely room with balcony and views across to the Isle of Wight. We had champagne on ice a beautiful bouquet of flowers and even hand made chocolates!

Every member of the staff were so friendly and made us feel so special - it was a joy from arrival to departure and we cannot believe that this hotel does not have the five star rating that it truly deserves.

The food was delicious - the ultimate afternoon tea on arrival was superb and we both loved the prosecco which accompanied the tea.

The buffet style breakfast was excellent hot and tasty and brilliant choice of continental breakfast too. Personally I recommend the smoked haddock with a poached egg - sublime!

Lunch and the pizza was the best we had tasted in years with excellent choice of both toppings and sides.

Louisa made me feel so comfortable in the spa and after two hours in her care I felt amazing an experience that I recommend to everyone - such a lovely lady who put me totally at ease in such a tranquil atmosphere - thank you.

The dinner menu each evening was superb with great choice, fresh produce and exceptionally high quality. The waiters, waitresses and management were caring and took time to make you feel very special.

We also had a photo shoot with Stuart which was great fun and so special as it is our 35th anniversary year. I shall add some photographs as soon as I receive them. We had such a wonderful time - precious memories and we hope to return again in the near future.

AA need to review this hotel again as five stars should be awarded as perfection should be rewarded.

This superb hotel offers everything to make a perfect stress free break.

I have to admit that I left with a lump in my that I felt I was leaving new found friends.

My husband and I hope to return and know we shall be guaranteed everything a quality break away sould be.

I can not recommend this hotel.enough? All the staff we truly amazing at helping us ensure our wedding reception was perfect on every way ,, it was even better than we expected. Lauren (who is the wedding/events organiser) u were just pure amazingness and we are so greatful for everything!!

Having a great time love the swimming pool very friendly staff

Great hotel by Alum Chines in Bournemouth. Arrived yesterday and everything is spot on. Staff really friendly. Relaxing pool and Jacuzzi, and the food is top drawer. Will definitely be returning.

Fantastic family holiday with excellent leisure activities, the staff made us feel at home, lending us items we had forgotten. Very clean with a gorgeous pool and jacuzzi. Gorgeous food on a beautiful sea view

Brilliant hotel accommodation 5 star very happy certainly recommend a visit

This is a super hotel for families. Last year we took family from my side that included 4 year old twins there and liked it so much that this year we returned with members of my husband's family that included a 10 and a 7 year old. Last year the weather was fantastic and the twins loved the outdoor kids paddling pool. This year the weather wa awful but the children were delighted with the indoor pool and the games room that had pool, table tennis & table football, so the poor weather didn't ruin the stay. The hotel staff are all very pleasant and personable. The hotel food is good with the caveat that it was rather better during our first stay a year ago. It's a short but steep walk down from the hotel to the delightful sandy Alum Chine beach. At the beach there's a great children's playground (expanded and improved since last year) and a good Italian restaurant. You can get the little land train along the promenade into the centre of Bournemouth which is fun although not cheap.

Great place for a family get togeather..shame some of our food was stale,kept from the affternoon it had not covered or refrigarated.. but deemed ok for us!

They did swop it for a cooked choice at our asking..but no apology

Myself and a friend stayed here Saturday night. We'd been at a wedding there during the day and into the evening.

The wedding was lovely, few minor errors were made - leaving my friend off of the seating plan when she was on the original and totally forgetting our table's sandwiches for the afternoon tea. Once we asked it took quite a long time to get them to us. Also there was no soya milk avaliable when requested,we were advised they'd run out and could get some but the tea would have gone cold by then ?

Our room was lovely, very clean and the view was beautiful. Serious lack of tea choice in the room though and 1 biscuit for what was a room with a double and single bed in it was a little poor. I know it's peak season but when you pay ┬Ż160 for one night Inc. discount you expect a little bit more. We had a better selection given to us in a self catering caravan we stayed in.

The breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice too. Apart from a few niggles we had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the wedding, food and drinks.

Sadly I have had to change this from 4.5 stars to 1 because since returning from a lovely stay here my bank account has been charged ┬Ż10 unauthorised by this establishment when our account was settled in full before we arrived and confirmed on check in and check out that their was nothing outstanding. We stayed nearly 4 weeks ago. Is this common practice at this establishment to illegally charge guests weeks after check out?
