On Wednesday 6th February, we have invited Gary Wilson, one of the country's leading experts in maximising boys’ achievement, to visit Rivington & Blackrod High School.
... Gary will be delivering an evening session for the parents/carers of all students (Year 7 to Year 11) from 6pm and lasting around 1 hour. This session will take place in the Main Hall at our Upper School site.

Students from RBHS are bringing colour to a local Nursing Home.
Students from our Year 11 Art Department have embarked on a project to paint a mural at the Hazelbrook Nursing Home in Horwich.
We were approached by the Manager of Hazelbrook who asked us to breathe some fresh life and colour into one of the walls in the home.
... A team of Year 11 students and two of our amazing Art Teachers are working on this project after school in their own time. As well as painting the mural, the students take time to chat to the residents of the home. They have even convinced some of the residents to have a go at painting the wall.
This project will take many weeks to complete and is based on scenes from the North West of England.
We will update with further photos as the project progresses.
