Our latest product development, destructive testing on some ARP flywheel bolts for the z16 engines running a billet flywheel. We have designed these along with ARP and have received the first batch of them. Our first interest was to properly test the old and new bolts to fully ensure that we were making the right moves .

We had to break out the old tools for this one!
Late 80’s / early 90’s Bosch Digifant ecu hacking on this lovely mk2 Golf with a Corrado G60 engine fitted.
We managed to emulate the chip to allow us to custom live tune on the dyno, with the final file flashed onto a chip for permanent storage.
... Made 196hp and 208lbft at the flywheel.

Corsa VXR Garrett GTX2867 gen2 V band manifold ... 1000cc injectors 1.8 bar of pressure dropping slightly before the limiter RND maffless tuned

The g25 550 has a bigger brother and here he is ! The g25 660 again with the biggest hot size housing available for this turbo .
With the owner of this car being partial to running flat out in Mexico then this car setup was always going to end off above the 2 bar boost pressure 😜
This engine has also previously been running nearly 600hp on a HTA3579 turbo so we were positive the engine could take it again 👍🏻
... 563 Hp and 483ft/lbs of torque riding the 2.1 bar boost area , the turbo comes on boost much sooner than the previous one making it more suitable for the particular engine installed on this car .
Having been already tested for a good few months at this power it has proven to be a reliable setup at this pressure, possibly time for more boost too see how much closer to the 600hp this turbo can actually deliver 😁

New performance turbos are always interesting , here we have a G25-550 with the 0.9 hot side housing running on a forged z20leh engine with some Cat fast road cams. After a few hours setting up she was ready for some flat out action too see what kind of impact these turbos deliver 😬
A general spec of this car Fully forged Radium surge tank install ... RND 1000cc injectors Nortech Vband manifold system Cat fast road cams Uprated valve springs EDS inlet manifold .
Final setup peaking at 1.8 bar and returning 435ft/lbs of torque and 474hp . Safe to say this turbo is impressive for such a small unit , it really packs a punch !
Is anybody interested to hear the G25-550s bigger brother flat out on our dyno 😜

Tom's Corsa vxr back in for some tweeking and performing well 😎
After considering more power he decided to have the engine forged to ensure the engine was able to take the extra power the AET ko3 hybrid turbo would deliver .
Stripped , machined and assembled by Ash at Giz-Motorsport before coming back to be pushed on the new turbo the car has run without issue on our dyno for a number of hours.
... Power wise it does not disappoint , 293hp and 270lbs of torque from the AET Turbos hybrid ko3 turbo while still being under the threshold of the standard MAP sensor. Holding the power nicely through the RPM band and making peak power at the limiter of 7700RPM

Running a SpecJ Motorsport built Z20 with a Borgwarner EFR9180 twin scroll turbo, Injector Dynamics injectors, all controlled by Link ECU's G4+ Fury running custom Nortech Performance Firmware, plus a lot of other goodies, this Astra is a pretty high spec beast!
She is currently struggling with charge temps getting too high at high boost/rpm, and so we have the boost reducing when it gets hot, hence the drop off in ...power up top on the dyno plot. At 660hp (on 99RON unleaded, she did a bit more on ethanol) the intercooler that was specced for 600 is a bit overwhelmed! We are also richening her up and pulling timing a bit when the temps get too high, which is further dropping the potential power. It will be interesting to see what happens when he fits the larger RnD-Forge intercooler he has got lined up
Building upon the RaceWars winning tune that Owen Developments had already provided, we added some switches, potentiometers and sensors to enable some of the extra features the Link ECU is capable of, effectively letting us tame this beast of a car a little! We also added a mild switchable antilag/full ASBO mode on the sport button
Oh, and of course we turned the boost up a little bit... Enjoy!

... Replumbed the boost control Fitted a faster responding IAT sensor Wired in adjustable launch control engine RPM dial Wired in a HI/LO boost map switch
New year will see a new crank trigger system installed on this engine to get better accuracy on the ignition timing letting us turn up the boost, for now a nice safe 538HP and + 400LBS at roughly 1.5Bar of boost should get the new engine tested properly.

We have used these differentials for years without a single issue on any of them, even at over 500LBS of torque these differentials are fine where others explode, really great product and a good op...portunity to make a decent saving .
For anyone who deals with the M32 gearbox on a regular basis , its clear to see that the planet gears in the standard differential are always the first to start breaking up, the metal particles that come from this damage then tend to drastically shorten the life of the gearbox, Installing a decent differential like the Mfactory version is a good way of reducing oil contamination and prolonging the life of the gearbox.

Tuning a car for race car tuition is always a daunting task , rest assured we nailed it 👍🏻
Pete brought one of his cars to us after having a little demo in another one of our customers cars, he was interested in getting the same level of throttle control as the demo car displayed on track.
This car is has had a heap of development in all areas over the years , the last thing to get right was the power delivery. Being the Dunlop production touring car it's certainly had a lot ...of development in the handling department 😉
When trying to teach people how to drive professionally it's essential that the car is predictable and progressive in the manner it drives , allowing the driver under instruction to better learn throttle control.
First power pull it made exactly the power that was claimed on its previous tune , 315hp bang on . After dialling in our base map and then continuing to fine tweek we managed to pick up an extra 16hp taking the total to 331hp from a hybrid ko4 turbo.
Holding the torque back just a little to give more of a plateau at the same power rather than a spike means hopefully this car should be a lot more drivable.

Fully forged Corsa VXR assembled by Ash @ Gizmotorsport and in for some some final tweeks.
Still running the stock turbo but with a better exhaust , intercooler and some larger injectors too.
Peaking at just under 1.6 bar and tapering down to around 1.3 bar at the limiter this engine made a nice healthy 268ft/lbs of torque with 240HP peak without needing to be scary lean on the fuelling side of things
... All round great little car when assembled correctly and mapped well 👍🏻

Another high power VXR back with us again today for some further tweeking 😬
Last time this car pulled 520hp flat out running water methanol to assist the GTX3071R .
The only change that has been made to the engine is the wastegate is now venting to atmosphere , having been previously set up to run maffless , the extra exhaust flow capacity made the fuelling go just a tad lean.
... With fuelling re-set back to how it ran last time , ignition the same and boost very lightly massaged to be as similar as it was before we found some extra power , 30+ Hp in fact !
So flat out this car now produces just over 556hp at 2.2 bar of boost , peak torque is very similar to last time.
Allowing the engine to breathe more in the higher Rpms has really helped Tom's vxr produce the power it's now making
