Hey everyone sorry the video quality is rubbish here the light had run out.
I’ve tried out the 100 yard pool shoot.
I quite easily got back to the 40 yard mark, and then I missed the second trap, the battery died on the camera so luckily you can’t see me miss 😅
... I think a lot of people will find it comfortable to about 40-50 yards then we are getting quite serious after that. I heard my pellets hitting the clays at 60yards but weren’t breaking the clays every time.
I recommend you bring 24-28 gram fibre 6’s 👍 choke up to the max and just shoot well.
You can’t change your chokes or swap guns during the pool shoot.
You may rebuy into the pool for £2.50 up to peg 3. Once you’re onto peg 4 if you miss one clay your out and back of the queue 😎
If we see plastic wads coming out of your barrels your score won’t count.
Fibre wads only, Thank you.
This Sunday at harbottle show field

This is why we shoot clay pigeons! Just listen to the noises! This was Roaming clays at harbottle back in August. We are back there again this Sunday to host the Alwinton show cup! Brian Ballantyne won Harbottle show with 50/50. Who’s going to complete Alwinton show? And someone will be taking home a Mec 600Jr Reloading press on the pool shoot! A massive quarter of a grand prize!!!

User

Who’s joining us at Harbottle this Sunday to try win the very first alwinton show cup?

User

Hi everyone!
As you all know we are hosting the Alwinton show trophy shoot this October on the Sunday 21st (at harbottle). 10am till 3.30pm
We’ve created an extra side event which we think you’ll love. It’s a chance for shooters to showcase their skills and win a massive prize.
... We are creating a pool shoot where the shooters compete over progressively ranged targets.
First you start 10 yards away, if you hit your pair you move back ten yards to the next peg. You can progress all the way back to 100 yards.
If you drop a target you’re out, and the next shooters takes his turn.
The shooter who makes it back further than any other shooter will win a Mec 600 junior Reloading press worth £246! This machine is the most popular reloading press in the world. You can make game and clay cartridges, solid slugs rounds and even black powder cartridges with this mighty machine! The best part is the bigger the cartridge you make the bigger the saving you make! You can make cartridges worth £15/25 for £8!
If there are a few shooters that make it back to the same final peg their will be a shoot off for the prize - Sudden death.
Entries will be £5 per attempt. No cap.
