Yummy Vegan option! We were lucky enough to be seated right away, the restaurant was busy but staff were attentive and their service was great. They were helpful when informed I was vegan; I had the pea fritter, chips and battered onion rings in gluten free batter which is delicious. I was so happy I could easily eat out at the seaside with my family.

We visited you yesterday with my daughter and grandkids. Medium cod and chips what a large piece of fish it was lovely. Kids enjoyed there meals as well. It's been a few years since my last visit standards as good as always x

Visited here again today, our go to when we head to Whitby and we are never disappointed, what amazing food; since my last visit I have been diagnosed with Coeliac Disease (allergic to gluten) and they did me gluten free fish and chip and also onion rings, amazing. Looking forward to our next visit, thank you Roberson team for looking after us as always. X

Very accommodating wanted an item that was on the kids menu in adult portion and it was no issue at all,Well done. Great staff working on the 13th July. Come here every time we are in the area. This is our 5th year of coming here.

Lovely fish and chips lovely clean restaurant and prompt service by a lovely gentleman and young lad. Fish was pure and white and light crispy batter served with bread and butter and a bit or cold drink special for £8.50 xx will be back

Lovely fish and chips again today been many times before all ways superb can't go to Whitby without stopping here for dinner.

Just been to my first chip shop in 30 years! As I am a strict vegetarian and the posters in the window states they fry in veg oil, still a bit dubious I popped in and asked if it is totally Vegetarian, as in not fried or near any meat or fish, and it is TOTALLY VEGETARIAN! just eating my first tray of chips and mushy peas with salt and vinegar on a bench overlooking the harbour! So happy! Please open a shop in Hornsea x

I've only ever visited the takeaway, but I love the chips and pea fritter! They also do veggie sausages and onion rings which are also suitable for vegans! It's so awesome to be able to get tasty seaside vegan food! My dog loves the chips too!

Had the most delicious generous portion of cod, chips & mushy peas and just about had room for my first ever battered deep fried Mars bar. Mmmmmm!!

Had excellent gluten free takeaway fish and chips from Robertsons today.... Some of best I have had.... Maybe even the best! Cannot recommend enough.

DISABLED.....we visited yesterday n were made to felt like royalty this has honestly got to be the best place we have ever eaten in....i myself have bpd n copy others illnesses n disabilities n i was ticking loads n my daughter has learning dusabilities autism adhd tourettes n glibal developmental delay n so on complexed needs my wife is ocd n diabetes....but dispite being busy n lack of space for wheels chairs ectra they accomidated us i can actuall6 say we walked out with a smile on our face n trust me thats very very rare.....service with a smile my daughter asked for salad cream too n they had that they accomidated our needs as i shake n so i asjed for two cups with half in each n they made two hot chocolates just had less in each cup it was awsome i would highly recommend this place for the disabled service was awsome dispite the space it was so worth it...... Loved it thanks sooooo much for the amazing service we received n will defo be in next time we go yo whitby x x x :D

Called in here today for lunch. Had medium cod, chips & peas... crikey if that was the medium size goodness knows how large the other is!! What a fabulous meal, the batter was the lightest ever & the fish incredible, lovely homemade chips too. Can't fault it at all, the meal was gorgeous, service really efficient, the place (&toilets) immaculate & all the staff happy & helpful. Can't recommend highly enough

After struggling to find somewhere for gluten free fish, We were directed here yesterday with family and my daughter has coeliac disease. Very impressed with the gluten free menu options. Gorgeous hot succulent fish. Food was delicious and staff friendly and smiling.

This is one of our favourite places,when we are in Whitby. The specials are always very good value and,generous in portion size. Well cooked fish & chips,mushy peas and a decent pot of tea,what more could you ask for 😊😋

Restaurant wasn’t able to sit a group of seven together at a quiet time !! Said it wasn’t possible to move tables together so we had to split the family up to eat a meal!

Warning to all, what Robertson's are advertising as a meat free options ARE NOT vegetarian as they are all fried in fish oil. Although on the menu it's advertised as meat free and not vegetarian they fail to acknowledge anywhere that meat free options are cooked in fish oil. When asked if the bean burger could be fried in vegetable oil along chip we were abruptly told no by a member of the wait staff. As 1 in 6 people are vegetarian most places are keen to cater for your needs. Recorded outside is 'We fry in vegetable oil' I wonder how many people have bought the vegetable burger or vegetable sausages believing that they are vegetarian?

Went here with my family of 6. We were met at the door with a smile ( or not as it happened ). We were not shown to a seat or given any interaction at all. The man on the door with a long bob hair cut was more interested in chatting to another member of staff than serving us. When the food arrived it was shocking, small fish and a handful of chips. £10 each for this. Kids meals were no better frozen chicken nuggets and a frozen fish cake, no fresh food here. To top it all off the guy with the long hair stood and picked his nose before wiping it on his apron and then serving another customer without washing his hands. We frequent Whitby quite regularly and will definitely not be coming here again.

We called here today 24th June 2017.

Waited 5-10 minutes at the entrance to be seated, ask for a high chair and was told there is no tables left.

Absolutely shocking 4-5 tables available but refused to let us in said the tables available aren't big enough to accommodate a high chair which is ridiculous.

We're now sat in the restaurant across the road at a smaller seating area with a high chair.
