Hooks... making sterling silver hooks for my rainbow earrings. I find this process calming. I guess it’s because I’m in a different space from my glass studio. NEW ... Moby Dick -Textured Past II. A large textured whale now in Fig. I posted a photo last week of two whales ready to slump in the kiln. This one has a textured surface including raised but well fused mouth and eye detail. Personally I really love the texture on the surface of this one. I was thinking of how these leviathans of the sea can live for many decades and display scars on their bodies likes maps of time and experience. FINAL ... kiln firing for these two whales which have been an ongoing process over the last two weeks. Both have a lot of texture going on, one within the glass and the other on the surface.
