Before we broke up for half term we enjoyed our special Harvest Festival service at All Saints' Church Eastbourne.
In the run-up to the service, children throughout the school learnt about Harvest Festival and brought in produce to be distributed to local families by the Eastbourne Food Bank.
Performances from all year groups wowed and it was lovely to come together and remember all that we enjoy, yet have in abundance, unlike so many in the world. #HarvestFestival

Our operations team have been hard at work during the half term, continuing to improve our lovely school and its facilities. The JAC Hall flooring has been revamped with a re-varnish and is now looking very smart, the new junior playground is starting to take shape (with some help from Mr Wood) and the Top Lawn has been given a new lease of life and with thanks to this wonderful Autumn weather, the grass is almost ready for playtime. We look forward to seeing the children enjoy these changes in the next half of term.
This week, we were very fortunate to be visited by Professor Mary Lovegrove OBE to officially open our brand new science labs and to deliver an inspirational lecture on Women in Science. Our younger girls were so captivated by her that they asked for an autograph.
On Monday, some of our parents came 'back to school' to enjoy a Biology lesson, delivered by our Principal, in one of our brand new Science labs. Mr Wood demonstrated how to extract DNA from strawberries and commented on just how well behaved the class were.
