Romanian Rescue Appeal Description
Romanian Rescue Appeal was founded by Lindsey Church in March 2014. Lindsey became involved in Romanian rescue in early 2014. Prior to that she says she would close her eyes and ears to pictures and stories, only so that she could sleep and not be haunted by the faces of helplessness and desperation.
Prior to founding Romanian Rescue Appeal Lindsey had been involved in a number of rescues, including from the Breasta hell hole. The Romanian Rescue Appeal brings together a team of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from the awful situations they face in Romania. It is run by Lindsey Church and Sue Grainger with the support of several other experienced rescuers in the UK. and Romania. We aim to find loving new homes here in the UK for as many dogs as we can. We also aim to support the building of more rescue places in Romania so that there is somewhere safe for dogs to go to before they can come to the UK. Ada was found in the fields abandoned near our shelter, she was running around until she decided to approach our shelter and we invited her in, she was happy to come by herself and she is friendly with us and the other dogs. Blossom is currently in kennels near Barnsley and waiting for her forever home.
Blossom walks nicely on the lead, and listens to commands, for example she sits and waits. Blossom sleeps all night without a peep and is house trained. She is very friendly with people and will make a very loyal pet. She enjoys fuss and attention and loves to be groomed. Blossom is a people's dog, and could live happily as an only dog.... Ideally Blossom needs someone with large dog experience and no cats.

DECLAN is a super dog, looking for an experienced owner to continue his training & help him flourish. He’s housetrained & walks well on his lead - he is sometimes reactive with other dogs whilst on his lead, but off-lead he enjoys a good play with his canine buddies. Sunday 12th August - National Trust Dog Fun Day at Woolbeding Parkland Nr Midhurst 10.30-4pm, lots of activities and stalls free entry and the bonus is meeting Moppey and Mouse (Brooke) RRA dogs.

WALTER is around 3.5 years old & in kennels I’m S. Yorkshire. He’s fully vaccinated, neutered & of medium size. He needs to be an ‘only’ dog in the home & will dote on his new owner. SOPHIA - IN UK FOSTER - FOR ADOPTION
SOFIA was saved from the public shelter with her puppies. She was a great mum and her three gorgeous pups all survived and have been adopted. SOFIA is now in the UK and is in a foster home (Dorset). She is around 4 - 5 years old and has settled well with her foster family. Sofia is house trained. SOFIA is adorable and loves people although is still wary of men. She loves other dogs and is quite playful. We feel Sofia would be best suited to someone who is home most of the time as she bonds well with her human and has separation anxiety. She is spayed. Dear Bartie was dumped outside one of our shelters which was made worse because he is blind. He has a great independent spirit and is a very friendly boy with people and with other dogs. Bartie is not young at around 13-14 years. He is quite small 4.5kg. This really cute boy deserves a happy ending to his story, can you give him that? We would love to hear from you if you can.
