Traditional pub with good food and friendly service. Dog friendly bar.

Very cosy and comfortable stop over on the Pennine Cycke Way. Miles from the crowds!

Had a lovelly glass of wine because there was a great selection. Had some great chips that definitely tasted like they were chopped and fried there and then along with some onion rings. The staff were great, interior design however left a bit to be desired. It reminded me of a care home I used to work in. However it has been around for over a century and I loved the photographs and posters from over the years displayed on the wall. The toilets were clean and the garden and view were very beautiful.

Superb food , excellent staff and lovely beer garden. Excellent location in beautiful surroundings.

The food was lovely and owners made you feel at home, just a shame dogs are not allowed.

The Rose and Thistle team hosted a very tired team of fundraising runners, and they did an amazing job - the location is, of course, stunning, and the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The food was excellent and the whole experience was great - thank you again!

Excellent service. Friendly staff. Well priced and unbelievably good food. I'd recommend this pub any day.
