We are looking for 16-19 year olds to help guide us in the creation of a new MK ULTRA inspired digital tool. If you’re aged 14-19 and interested in contemporary dance, gaming, fashion and/or apps, get involved by filling in this questionnaire with your ideas!
It will help us to create dance that listens and speaks to young people’s thoughts and values. If you have particular ideas for the app and how it might look or be used, do get in touch - we'd love to hear from you.

Such a fantastic week so far, we are getting through the second half and we expect to have the show re-worked and re-choreogrpahed by Friday.
Dancers are working SO hard. Despite all the material we are learning and re-analysising, we still have talked a lot about pop culture, modern celebrity culture, alchemy, dark magic, lightness and spirituality, knowledge, enlightenment and modern constructions of mythology. This work m...ay say its about so called 'Illuminati' but actually its a re-imagining and re-construction of what it is like to be living now.

This week I've been able to spend a couple of days in the studio thinking through and planning the re-work of MK Ultra, and its been so valuable. I came back to the work, thinking I'd cut and change and edit, but actually what I've been doing is refining and clarifying the meaning, the intention, and making the show work much better for itself. One section I had, and then cut, was a 'boys jump' section, that didn't quite work. With the new narrative arc, I've found the right ...place for it, and I think it involves both male and female dancers. This is a tiny sketch- but shows how I begin to create a new section and find the vocabularly. I have about 6 sketches like this- each with a slghtly shifted narrative, with some sketches including more twerking, more punk and some crazy jumps. Watch out for this section in the new re-worked MK Ultra when it opens September 20th + 21st Birmingham Hippodrome Patrick Studio. It might look quite different with the 7 fabulous dancers giving it 100%! Huge thanks to Matthew Daniel Lambden at HeART Work Studios it been lovely to spend some time in your lovely, well equiped studios this week.
