Everytime I do this event I am always blown away by the generosity of friends and clients with their donations and offers of help and raffle prizes. Here is 4 year old Ollie so nearly Swimming all by himself. You can see how @tom_judd releases him to do the Swimming by himself and then gives a little bit of support with the roll over. Some of the rolls Ollie does on his own and others Tom gives some assistance. It won’t be long till he does the whole lot independently and shows us how safe he is around water. Today I got my alcohol license approved by MK council so now we can serve lovely, warm Christmasy mulled wine during the charity event. Alongside that my dad, who prior to mum dying had never even cooked toast before, will be making his now legendary home made (from scratch, pastry and all!) mince pies and Christmas cake!! My dad is my hero - mum would be seething that for all their married life she cooked every meal and now he is a fabulous cook. Shows what you can do when you have to! Remember my video from last week with Oscar going down to get the sinkies from the steps and I said he’ll be collecting them from the bottom soon! Well fast forward one lesson and my prediction came true!! Here is the little superstar with my superstar teacher @tom_judd doing just that! Love how calm he is, how Tom starts off going down with him to build up Oscar’s confidence and 2 sinkies later he is doing it all my himself. A little bit of Saturday night excitement!! @tom_judd wants to start up a Rookie lifeguard course for our stronger swimmers. I remember doing this as a kid and it is so much fun - swimming in pyjamas and learning how to rescue each other. Sinkies - most of our Rainbow Fishes love them but some don’t. 4 year old Oscar has always been nervous about going under water so sinkies were his worst nightmare. His mum sent me this video and I can’t explain to you how happy it makes me for a number of reasons. 1. He is going under water to get it. 2. He is up for doing it again even when he doesn’t get it the first time. 3. The trust relationship he has with @tom_judd and how Tom goes down with him to support him. 4. The... best bit that after 3 attempts he gets it. YES!!!
Yes I know it is from a shallow step but the confidence boost that this will have given Oscar is priceless and I guarantee that in a couple of lessons he will be collecting them from the bottom of the pool. #swimming #121swimming #jobsatisfaction #underwater

She did it!!!! 5 year old Holly who last year hadn’t ever been in water and would not entertain getting her face wet today swam 12 meters on her front and back!!! My best bit is at the end when she gets tired (this was about the 4th time she had done it) and she starts to lift her head and go under. I remind her to roll, she does it, relaxes, gets her breath and then confidently finishes. What a little superstar!! That is job satisfaction at its best. Tom had the joy of teaching my little boy today! I have tried and failed - he just won’t listen to me. Kids eh? But Tom was brilliant and he actually had a few breaststroke legs which looked like breaststroke legs. Unfortunately he got into bad habits with another swim school in group lessons and now we have the job to recorrect him. Thank you Tom - he loved his lesson today.

Happy birthday to my lovely mum who would have been 71 today. It’s become tradition that we always have a cake on her birthday, sing happy birthday and make wishes. She passed away 10 years ago on 2nd December. Here is lovely Eva - she only turned 4 a couple of weeks ago. We have been working on her front crawl and her rolling and last week she got it! It is such a fabulous feeling when it clicks into place and they can do it. I know she is safe in Water now and that is an amazing feeling. Rosie is a fantastic teacher. I had a couple of lessons as I wanted to improve breast stroke and learn how to do front crawl properly. She is full of great tips and very encouraging. If you are an adult who wants to learn to swim or someone who needs a bit of advice on how you can improve your swimming, I would highly recommend her.

Rosie has taught both my daughters from 4 months old.

My eldest 5 year old Bella had her first 1-2-1 lesson today with Rosie. She needed some help with her breathing and head under water technique.

Within 20 minutes of the lesson Bella was swimming more confidently.

It was the best I’ve seen her swim in months.

The first thing Bella said to me getting in the car was “I loved swimming with Rosie today”.

Definitely would recommend Rosie’s services.

My little boy loves swimming but has recently had the ‘water wobbles’ during lessons with another company. Rosie delivers excellent lessons tailored to the child’s needs, we are so excited to see his confidence and abilities grow which I have complete trust they will and quickly. Plus the pool is lovely. My little boy loves coming to his lessons with Karen! He is making steady progress and more importantly is confident in the water and really enjoys it. Karen is very patient (even when he’s messing about/telling one of his long stories/clicking his fingers endlessly) and clearly passionate about teaching children to swim. Thank you!

My eldest 4year old Mia has had two 1-2-1 lessons, one with Karen and the other with Rosie. Mia has been able to ‘swim’ since she just 3 but she has struggled with her breathing and her stroke for a long time. She goes to a group swimming session every week but there never seems to be enough actual swimming for her to get it. Within the first 10 minutes of her lesson Mia was swimming using frontcrawl arms and breathing every 3 strokes. I was just beaming with pride and Mia left her lesson so excited. She was also thrilled that she was able to do kneeling dives and was practicing them when we went swimming later on that day. Both Karen and Rosie are amazing teachers and so patient! I can not recommend Rosie’s Rainbow fishes enough ���

My 5 year old had her first lesson with Tom today and she’d learnt more in this one lesson than in all the months combined of her swimming in a group of 6. Tom was great with her and made her feel at ease in the water, she was chuckling and laughing and having such a great time, all the while I could tell she was learning and remembering. She told me she loved it and asks when the next lesson will be! Highly recommended!

My 4 year old daughter had her first lesson with Rosie today and she absolutely loved it! It was her first ever swimming lesson and I was so pleased with how quickly Rosie got her used to the water.

Rosie made learning fun, so fun that Olivia wanted to get back into the pool after the lesson finished! She is very much looking forward to her next lesson. She keeps asking to look at her swimming lesson photos! A water baby is developing!

From a parents view, booking was easy and accommodating. Also the 1-2-1 lessons are a huge reason we chose Rosie.

Beautiful location too, a nice quiet pool helps enormously!

My 3 year old son Harry had his 1st ever swimming lesson today with Rosie. He absolutely loved it and is very much looking forward to his 2nd lesson already! You style of teaching Rosie makes it fun for the children to learn. Thank you for your hard work, I would highly recommend you.

Keir had his first swimming lesson with Rosie yesterday, and I am absolutely delighted with how it went. He loved it! He has not been swimming much so didn't have any confidence in the water and was clinging to Rosie at first, but by the end of the lesson he was noticeably happier and at ease and actually swimming (with aid)! He loved swimming for the toys and when I asked him what his favourite part was, he said 'all of it'! The smaller, warmer swimming pool also helped with him to feel relaxed and happy. Will definitely be booking more lessons and would definitely recommend! Thank you Rosie! X

Just had my first lesson with Rosie and absolutely loved it! She teaches in such a clear and logical way and made things that have made me nervous since I was a child seem achievable and straightforward! Her enthusiasm and encouragement has made me all the more determined to improve my swimming. I’ll definitely be looking to book more lessons, thank you Rosie!

Joshua had his first lesson with Rosie yesterday after not progressing at all in some other group lessons. He was scared to put his head under water and only felt safe if he had a float and with one of us holding him.



After his first lesson yesterday, he was full of beans and asked when he could have another lesson! We managed to book another slot this morning and by the end of it, he was swimming, on his own...with his face in the water!! I can’t tell you how amazed and impressed we are with Rosie. The confidence this has given him already is unbelievable..he was even putting his head under in the bath this evening!

Imogen had her first 121 lesson - she loved it ! Was really surprised at how confident Rosie made her feel in the pool. Highly recommend. Imogen is asking to go back already !

Brilliant teacher!! Rosie has taught my boys to swim with water babies and we’ve just started having some 1:1 lessons to help with their technique now 2 of my boys are too old for water babies. I’d highly recommend Rosie to anyone!
