The most worse hospital i ever ever seen.being there makes me really upset. My little two weeks baby was left in a very cold cubicle for six hours and no one bothered to see him despite we came in urgency.
It's a nightmare!!!!!

Ward A2 is chaotic. Not a ward anyone would go into by choice, obviously geared up for more elderly people, and very busy. Some unhygienic practices go on, ie leaving disposable pee bottles in the bathrooms rather than them being taken to the sluice room and being disposed of properly. There is a definite hierarchy, with the underling graded staff doing most of the work, and a distinct lack of communication between all. In one hour we got three conflicting pieces of information from separate grades of staff about something we had not even enquired after. A patient was allowed to wander and all too often she wandered into my brother's side room, where he was being barrier nursed (apparently) because of possible infection. Some of the night staff have cold hearts, do not respect rights and choices of patients. One afternoon, three of the older nurses were having a loud moan about one of the patients who had a tendency to lash out - I am surmising the patient had more than a touch of dementia. Rather than sympathy and understanding, I saw a lack of caring and unprofessionalism when discussing a patient. This should have taken place in a more private area, not in the middle of a corridor with voices on full volume. The lovely ladies and gentleman who brought around the drinks were seriously the highlight, ensured everyone was well-hydrated, and nothing too much trouble for them. Hygienic, clean, tidy, full hair nets worn at all times.

My wife was admired through ambulance 11 of October then with in two hours was admired to may ward found staff pleasant and when phoned up if wife had a problem would go and see her (unlike Doncaster) the staff was helpful then moved her to g5ward where again found the staff plesante first time my wife was content and happy on g5(where Doncaster staff are not polite and she was scared going there)if we had a problem they would help as one night my wife told me she was. Not feeling well and was upset so phoned the ward up that night around 10 told the staff they said they will see her and did I would like to thank the staff on may and g5 for the care and passion they showed my wife who came in with adderson crosses (Samantha holden) think both ward staff will rember her thanks good jib your doing

Amazing staff doing the best they can with the NHS budget cuts and bed blocking issues, they were evidently very busy but were always polite, had a smile on their faces and did everything they could for me. Whilst I was waiting for my transfer from a&e to a ward I witnessed multiple patients who were using the services who really should have gone to a walk in centre or their doctors extending others waiting times. So if you have a long a&e wait or transfer to a ward, pls don't blame the hospital - blame the cuts in their service and timewasters.

My mother has been diagnosed with Cancer. Following this we had tests done to diagnose the extent of the Cancer a week has now passed and we have had no communication from anyone. Tried to get in touch with the outpatients department to get passed from pillar to post then to a fax machine number.....excellent way to deal with patients.

Every time I try to ring this hospital I can't get through or nobody answers the phone and the fact there are no more IBD nurses has put a stop to a great care I once received. Very very disappointing as I've live in Rotherham all my life and though I could put the trust in my local NHS hospital

Like most hospitals they keep you waiting, parking is hard, but most of the staff are ok

It may not be the worst hospital in england but they certainly need improving, it has too many problems to list here but if you can look up better hospitals and get to them do it, my mother went through alot going through terminal cancer and the problems this hospital has made things harder, like smoking at entrances security does nothing about it, waiting times were always ridiculous making her wait sat in pain for over an hour just because they booked too many people at the same time in, it happend more than once. theres good people that work there but the state its in is atrocious, god help you if you need A&E my mother nearly died in there.

I was took to the CCU in RGH after having a heart attack. Like anywhere it has good staff and bad staff.
