Went yesterday just after they opened. Lovely waiting staff, didn't have to wait too long - and as ever, the food was beautiful.

My other half hardly ever says anything is good beyond shrugging and saying "It was OK". He gave, for him, a glowing thumbs up comment. We'll definitely be going back.

User

We went Sat 18-Nov-17. It was quite a queue to get in but everyone is in high spirit particularly as we can get occasional whiff of the delicious cooking inside. Service was quick, courteous and professional. Nobody felt rushed. The food is perhaps as good as one can get back in SE Asia and the price is very reasonable. Will definitely go again.

User

The only restaurant in London worth queuing in the street for. Best Malaysian food iā€™ve Tastes outside Malaysia.

User

The best Malaysian food Iā€™ve had outside of Malaysia. Nasi Lemak and Roti Pisang, tasty, quick, cheap and oh did I mention super tasty?! BYO and you have to queue but itā€™s worth it šŸ˜€. Right behind Euston station, no excuses not to eat there my friends!!

User

Roti Canai Lamb with an iced lemon tea, fabulous! Warm evening and all crammed into the tiny restaurant just gave a fabulous atmosphere. Restaurant crowded and service a bit slow for the other strangers I was sharing a table with, but my food arrived pretty quickly and was super tasty.

First visit told me that the restaurant probably needs some sort of table flags (similar to what places like Nandos use) so that people get the correct order quickly, but that could easily be sorted.

User

Loved the food recommended by the staff ļæ½ food is worth the wait .

User

It was worth queeing for an hour. The food was tremendously delicious and authentic. It is home away from home.

User

I am definitely here for the prata! Itā€™s the best! Not oily, thick and crispy! Feels like being back home. Tried the mee mamak very disappointed as it taste more to normal mee goreng.

User

Fantastic flavours:a gem of a find: definitely worth a visit

User

Excellent food, worth the little wait

User

our favorite's place..would recommend to everyone who want to taste roti canai.. exactly same like in Malaysia.. i think the drink is overpriced and they increased their price for the food which makes it little bit expensive for me.. šŸ˜” although i didn't drink alcohol, but to charge from Ā£5 to Ā£10 per table to anyone who wanted to bring alcohol is for me is too much..

User

We arrived at 7pm and had to wait for about 40 min until we could be seated. You are not able to book any tables, also remember to bring cash since they do not take cards. Highly recommend the food, we were all "mmmmm"ing and probably could have stayed for much longer just continued ordering if our stomachs would have allowed us to. For those whom knows this is a true "dhaba" experience in London. A must visit i would say - will definitely come again!! :)

User

Good Malaysian food, very close to the authentic street food experience!

User

Although the queue can be quite long, I would recommend them as the foods are fantastic especially the Char Kuay Teow, along with the Good service provided- Loved that they are polite and that they well- serve the customers with their needs.

So do come here to eat as worth it in the end ļæ½

User

A nice street food experience. I did have to queue as the reviews I had read stated. I went for the roti canai which was tasty, but the curry wasn't as smooth as I'd expected. I think the spices could have been cooked out a bit more as there was a bit of a powdery texture to the sauce. The service was interesting, and the tables needed a little more attention when it came to cleaning.

User

The food is great and really good value. Ā£20 will get you a really delicious dinner for two which is pretty amazing. Loses one star for the wait. It was a 45 minute queue to get in. Likely to be less at quiet times but could be a lot worse. Loses another star for the alcohol charge. It is a flat fee of Ā£10. That is fine for a party of four with a few bottles, less good for two of you with one bottle (more than doubling the cost). So definitely recommended but be prepared to wait and add Ā£10 on for any drink you bring.

User

I am a big fan of Roti King and have dined in your restaurant copious amounts of times. I do however need to comment that it is disappointing that you advertise roti tissue (my absolute favourite dessert), yet it is impossible to order. I arrived at your restaurant early yesterday and was told by the waitress I could not order it. Shock... She then explained I need to come when the restaurant first opens, I ā€˜mightā€™ be able to order or 10pm (30minutes before the restaurant closes) This dessert is not only part of your menu, from the few pictures of the food on the menu Roti Tissue is one of them! Please stop being a tease stop advertising you make it, when really itā€™s all false promises. Or put the times it really is available to avoid unhappy customers.

User

Average at best. Disappointed as we were expecting great things.

User

Terrible service with mediocre food.

I had char kuey teow with teh tarik ais. Food was okay if not below average (but thatā€™s from a Malaysian point of view).

Didnā€™t manage to try roti canai that I have been craving for because they forgot my order. I followed up twice and waited for over 30mins after I finished my meal.

Lady at the till was not friendly and questioned if I really didnā€™t have my roti canai. None of the staff felt sorry about my missed order.

I understand itā€™s weekday lunch time and itā€™s busy, but this is not okay.
