Royal Archaeological Institute

The Royal Archaeological Institute is a national society, promoting the study of archaeology in the British Isles and Europe, with membership open to all.

The Royal Archaeological Institute, founded in 1844, is a leading national archaeology society. Its interests span all aspects of the archaeological, architectural and landscape history of the British Isles. Through our programme of monthly lectures, annual publication of the Archaeological Journal, conferences and specialist tours for our members we aim to present archaeological research. We also award grants to research projects to further study of archaeological sites, historic buildings and landscapes.
