Royal Bath And West Sports For The Disabled

One of our Participants, Jack Davey had an awesome opportunity to be part of a new active Devon project as an ambassador, where he was asked to take part in a little promotional video to help inspire other people with disabilities.

If day competitiors are unsure what time they need to be at the royal bath and west showground by 08:30/09:00hrs.
Please remember to bring your parking passes otherwise you could find yourself parking in a different area to where we have allocated for everyone.

2 WEEKS!
Don't forget people, we shall be having a raffle draw on Saturday 2nd June 2018 at Wincanton Racecourse, so if you have anything that you would like to put into the raffle, then please bring it along. All raffle prizes can be handed to Lisa Welsh or Charlotte Broom.

Tickets and Parking Passes have been collected so they will hopefully be going out to everyone who is not staying at the race course in the next week :)

WE HAVE 2 WEEKS UNTIL OUR ENTRY DEADLINE.
You get the opportunity to meet new people, but will also have the chance to go around the show when you have some spare time. We have participants who come from Yeovil, Exeter, Guernsey and many other places and take part within certain sports that we do throughout the week.
We provide tickets for each competitor and non-competitor (Person who provides care) as well as parking passes for the days of the show. We also have accommodat...ion available for those who may have to travel some miles to attend the event.
If you know anyone who would be willing to come and take part within our games either for the week or for the day, then please feel free to get in touch.

We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came and took part in our spring into action day today, but also those who came and helped out, whether they were volunteers or members of the showground staff. We had an amazing turn out and were lucky to have the weather that we had today. We hope you all enjoyed your day :)

Activities include: 60m Run, 60m Walk, Air Rifle, Club, Discus, Flycasting, Javelin, Lightball, Short Mat Bowls, Shot Putt, Skittles, Table Tennis and Target Bean Bag.

This event is a come and have a go day. This is where people with disabilities can come and take part in our sporting activities that we will be running on the day.

We are currently looking for people who would be willing to come and volunteer at our events.
We have 2 events coming up on the following dates:
Sunday 22nd April 2018 at the Royal Bath and West Showground called Spring into action... This is where people with disabilities can come and have a go at the many different ranges of sporting events that we do on the day. This event runs from 10:00 until 16:30. Activities include: 60m Run, 60m Walk, Air Rifle, Club, Discus, Flycasting, Javelin, Lightball, Short Mat Bowls, Shot Putt, Skittles, Table Tennis and Target Bean Bag.
Wednesday 30th May until Saturday 2nd June 2018 at the Royal Bath and Show. This is when the show will be on. This is where people with many different disabilities take part in many different ranges of sporting events, which we exhibit to the public, allowing them to see what's available within their local community. There will be chances to go around the show when you have some free time as well as getting to know people. This event runs from 08:30 until 16:30. Activities include: Air Rifle, Basketball, Boccia, Flycasting, Precision Javelin and Club, Short Mat Bowls, Shot Putt, Skittles, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Triathlon and Wheelchair Slalom.
