If you're heading to tonight's Tate Late then you're in for a treat! Throughout the festive period RCA alumna Monster Chetwynd's (MA Painting, 2004) giant slugs are oozing up the facade of Tate Britain, leaving a trail of slime illuminated by energy-efficient lights.

Putting the Royal in Royal College of Art. Today we had the honour of hosting our first visit from our new Royal Visitor HRH The Prince of Wales!
He toured the many workshops and studios at #RCABattersea and met Ceramics & Glass and Print students, staff and start-up innovators.
While in the Wolfson Printmaking Hall, HRH The Prince of Wales participated in a demonstration of the historic John Haddon Etching Press to produce an aquatint. Dating from 1851, the press was used in... the Great Exhibition and is affectionately known at the RCA as the ‘Hockney Press’ as it is where alumnus David Hockney famously created his A Rake’s Progress etchings in 1961.

Went to the conference Gender generation: the creative process in art and design. Great speakers, intriguing visuals. Everything was really interactive: film, photos, slides plus the exhibit downstairs really diverse to tackle a difficult subject. Well done to the organisers, especially a thank you to Hermione Wiltshire.

Visited the RCA Grad show at Battersea and Kensington. The work just blew my mind. So many sophisticated and relevant ideas. Beautiful succinct work of the highest standard. Fantastic. And lovely students so willing to chat. Thank you so much.

The work is extra ordinary. Artists friendly and interesting.

The greatest Art community in the world... my dream space.

There is an emphasis on developing leadership skills while working as a group and also learning tools for autonomous working.
