The food was excellent. Went with the first set dinner and everyone was happy with the portions and selection.
Really lovely meal. My husband, friend and self only had one course each as limited time but we all three thought our choice was excellent. Lamb/chicken/seafood all beautifully cooked and presented. Swift, friendly service. Other restaurants had queues but no wait here - prob because it looks so dark but we knew from a previous visit that it would be good. See you again!!
I visit London once if I'm lucky twice a year and we always eat here, sometimes we have to wait for a table but it's well worth it because we have never had a bad meal here. The fact we have to wait for a table proves the point they are always very popular very busy and as I said very good, and I have always found the staff helpful and obliging
Food was amazing...highly recommend it.servuce at its best as well.atmosphere was excellent
Always the best in China town, excellent customer service, excellent food and value for money! My best and favourite one! Unlike the one called Dumplings Legend gave you dirty look, bad customer service and food aren't as nice as this Royal Dragon.
Great meal as always, but be sure to check your receipt! They add a cheeky Discretionary Service Charge! Which, if challenged you don’t have to pay!
Was ok but we never got all
Our order. No rice !!! Vegetarian options not that good and menu not easy to workout would I go again? No
The food isn't bad at all, but my niece's meal wasn't piping hot. We were then approached towards the end of our meal by a waiter with a superfluous bowl of egg-fried rice. When my niece and I looked at each other, he barked, "Did you order this or not?" Clearly, mate, we hadn't! Do not order a glass of wine. I was presented with a small glass of merlot and when the bill came, I nearly fainted as it was £7. I wouldn't eat here again, but it wasn't bad.
Looked promising from outside as no queueing... Hmmm always a bad sign but was starving so decided to try it. Ordered set meal at £21.50 pp not cheap. Service was efficient. Asked for house white wine they brought a French medium white so thought OK it'd do. Also asked for lime and soda. They didn't put any lime in soda! Had to ask again. Meal came starter was mixed spring roll, prawn on toast seaweed etc. V good. Next was Peking duck which was carved before they brought it to us so no bones. 3 pancakes each. Normally its only 2 in other places. Then the main which looked great on menu but it came on a platter that looked like a nibbles dish 3 dishes all on same tray. All was quite tasteless and soon went cold.pork was fatty too. The special fried rice was good though. When the bill came my my. The wine was a mid range bottle at £19, and a "discretion service charge" of 12.5% was added! (£8.38) the service wasn't that spectacular. Before leaving I went to the restroom and to my horror was next to the open kitchen in the basement! Don't think I will pay good money here again especially when there was an all you can eat buffet for £12 around the corner.
Had the set dinner menu and the food was fine. Particularly enjoyed the special fried rice and the starters. Have eaten here a couple of times before.
Food was good, but service was a bit slow. Lots of people, which I usually take as a good sign. Had some fried noodles that tasted a bit burnt, but I think that was how it was supposed to be. Drinks and food service was very quick, but the staff could have paid more attention. The would have sold more drinks and maybe even dessert.
Food was OK but adding a 12.5% service charge was a bit of a cheek plus the pork was fatty and bits of bone in the duck .would I eat here again ? In a word NO ....!!
First appearance looked quite good however, menu was all over the place and very difficult to choose food. A full table of Chinese people arrived around 5 minutes after us and we sat and watched as they were served swiftly...we still waited! Eventually we managed to get the attention of a waiter who told us to 'wait' as he served another 2 tables who had not long sat down. Ordered drinks which came 'incorrect' and food took a while. It was adequate. Not the best. Main course came out which went cold 'very quickly' as air conditioning turned up feeling 'chilly'. Alarmingly though my chicken was VERY pink in the thicker parts so my meal was picked through and vegetables eaten instead.
Ordered more drinks which came and were placed incorrectly to us by a waiter who was too busy to care. More incorrect drinks I need to say !
Toilets next to kitchen so hygiene is NOT high on list as grease running down the wall in toilet coming through from kitchen!!! Which was a bit grim had we noticed before ordering probably would've gone to the cheap buffet up the road which is better food!!
Overall experience. Wouldn't pay to eat there!
Personally, think they need staff retraining and environmental health to assess their downstairs completely.
Where Chinese restaurants go to die. The lady couldn’t get her eyes off her phone and looked at me with disgust when I wanted to order. Food was terrible. Service non-existent. Pick food out of a bin rather than eating here.
Visited sunday eve during our trip to London and the service was absolutely appalling. Ordered duck to start but brought mains first! asked for fried rice with my partners main brought boiled! Brought my main with no rice even though I'd again specifically asked for fried rice so instead of waiting for another 10 mins i ended up sharing my partners. we got one drink before meal after waiting about 10 minutes after which i had to approach someone to ask for one, after that we didn't get offered another! no apology about any of this and had the cheek to still add the 12.5% service charge! obviously i told them to remove it straight away. We eat out almost every week and this is the worst and rudest service I've ever encountered. I honestly wouldn't go here if it was free!
The service was very poor and the staff threw the plates at the table and the sauce went all over the table when they brought the food over. The staff attitude was awful, no friendly greeting when taking our order. The guy was very miserable and didn't enjoy his job, Very poor customer service. He looked as if he wanted to start a fight. They failed to deliver one of the plates of dim sum we ordered the first round and it never arrived after 2 hours we finished our second round of dim sum order. We requested the staff a few times, he constantly repeated "As I've already mentioned from the start dim sum will take longer and this is the busy hours of dim sum time."
Clearly the staff didn't understand my friend, when they told the waiter to double check out bill. The food was very oily and covered in grease. We refused to pay service charge, also they over charged us for a plate that never arrived. Awful customer service!! I would not recommend anyone to come here.
The service was very bad and rude. While we were eating some customers were having a fight with the service and the waiter told the customer to fuck off seriously? Then the police came but we had to finish our meal very stressed because it was over-charged.
One of the worst of my experience I'm just in this restaurant, service is unbelievable horrible when I ask about bill server took my plates without asking if I finished when I didn't, servers are eating on the floor with "open mouth " what is disgusting, they having chewing gum. I'm not gonna come here anymore....
If they existed I would give this restaurant minus figures. The service was terrible and the staff all looked unhappy. I would be too if I worked there, I would be embarrassed! The food was terrible!!! When I tried to discuss with the manager that I was unhappy I was told that I was wrong. I had a noodle soup with pork - the noodles were not cooked and the pork was two thirds fat. I have had this dish at many other restaurants and have never had such a problem. We also had crispy aromatic duck, it came out already shredded, and it was all fat and burnt bits. I had to ask the manager to leave me alone when he became argumentative when I complained. I really wish that I had refused to pay, but I was too polite, especially after finding out that they add on a 12.5% service charge. DO NOT EAT HERE.
