Wonderful place, stunning surroundings. We went along on Thursday evening for a lecture by three speakers discussing 1. Black homes 2. Dark matter and 3. Gravitational waves!!

What a fantastic place to visit..climbing the hill to the observatory..the amazing view at the top..seeing and stepping either side of the meridian line..we had a beautiful day and will be returning again to have a look through the big telescope one evening. Would certainly recommend visiting this place to anyone.

We’re members so you can tell we love the Royal Museums Greenwich, but yesterday’s visit was for a very special occasion in Scouting. One of our Scouts wanted to be Invested standing on either side of the oldest part of the Meridian Line and the Manager made it possible for us to have a fleeting visit! We then went down to the Maritime Museum and can categorically confirm that the whole day at Greenwich was a fantastic Scout trip.

Thank you to the Royal Observatory for making the Investiture possible.

We went on an ‘Out of this world’ activity morning. It was so interesting and educational. My children (girl,9 & boy, 6) loved the planetarium. Will go again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our day. My six year old son was spellbound by the bear’s visit into space to all the planets. Last time I was here was over twenty (maybe even thirty) years ago so it was also a very nostalgic day for me.

One of the most inspiring experience I had in London. This place is truly amazing, and you can really understande the importance of the men who worked here by just looking at your wristwatch and the airplane ticket you used to get to London. Without these men, probably you'd never had those things. Go to greenwich and spend those 10£, you will not regret your choice.

Fantastic! Such an interesting and informative site. Always wanted to see the GMT line and it didn’t disappoint!

Definitely worth the visit . Be prepared for the hill !!! Other than that there's lashings of history. " Take the time" if you're in the neighborhood. Brisbane Aust.

Brilliant day out in Greenwich. I can't believe I've never visited the .Observatory and it was so worth the visit. The views are amazing.

A really fabulous day out, that gets you thinking all about time. I’ve been enlightened- certainly never given that much thought to longitude and latitude. Love being a tourist in my own city.

User

A beautiful setting and the easiest place to straddle the prime meridian.

User

A beautiful day at a beautiful place where the measurement of time and space on the planet begins. A place not to be missed and Greenwich is very charming.

It was very interesting and a very good day out. Would prefer volume control on the audio guide and also £10 entry is quite pricey. You wouldn’t want to miss visiting at least once.

User

I found the exhibits informative and well presented. All the staff were kind and helpful. I would highly recommend a visit

First time I've been here there was no planetarium yet and entrance was free. Just a little disappointed it iis no more free - that's why I gave 4 stars. Glad I could see one show in the planetarium and surely I will see many more in the future whenever I come to London.

As a professional Maritime Navigator, it was amazing just to be in the presence of the H1 - H4. Unique experience. I’ll never forget it.

User

An amazing place just because of what it is, but the collection of clocks along with the history behind them is priceless. Well worth the walk up the hill from the underground station.

All in all the Royal Observatory was a great day out. My wife and I enjoyed the astronomy photography exhibition and the Planetarium the most. The Observatory itself will appeal most to those with an interest in the study of how time has been measured over the years. Great views out to Greenwich Park and Canary Wharf. Would definitely bring our kids here in future, even if just for the planetarium.
