I was rushed to Royal Surrey County Hospital last night with heavy bleeding. I was 12 weeks pregnant and lost the baby. The paramedics did a fantastic job as well as the staff at the A&E. I needed to have a surgery. The surgical team was also brilliant. I was put into the gastro-intestinal ward after the surgery with people who had totally different problems. I had just lost my beloved and very much waited baby and not one person addressed this. When I cried a doctor came to explain that my womb had been emptied. Without any empathy. I know there is no ward for people like me but at least there should be someone who women like me can talk to about the loss of a baby which is more than just an emptied womb. I feel very upset. This is just not right.

The care I have always received is great 100% without the NHS and this hospital I know I would not be here today.....thank you

Understand the car park instructions before you leave and make sure you know your bay and reg number, or you're in trouble. New £5 or £10 notes? Don't bother. Arrive at LEAST an hour early to find a space. Just called the appointments line to say partner was late and it said "ring back at 330 we're in a meeting". You what? If I run a shop, there is always someone on the till during opening hours. Jokers. This place needs to try and either reduce it's size or increase car parking, or go to Frimley which is a superior experience in every respect (except cycle parking which is woeful).

User

The parking is completely inadequate, to the point that you might find yourself in a drive-round loop with several other unfortunates, waiting for someone to vacate. Park anywhere else you can, and catch the bus. Picking up and dropping off at the main entrance is also fraught, as you are not allowed to wait for even under a minute.

User

As a hospital, I have no complaints. The car park is another matter - too small, cramped, very expensive and the most crazy, over complicated means of paying I have ever seen. How OAPs manage to negotiate the menus and options I have no idea.

Albury Ward

Is outstanding, from the cleaners, HCA, Staff Nurses and not for getting the. Sisters.

I believe that the executive should show their faces and also the monitoring of services such as the catering teder, etc which is a major part of people's experiences that is contacted out.

In any trust that has a major change in the executives the various role.

I will not make comment on the Outpatients department wich. This department is the major let down for the Royal Surrey.

Parking dreadful unless you have an early appointment. St. Lukes cancer centre even worse and you have to pay £4 per day ! How awful to exploit cancer suffers. My husbands oncologist was Dr. Essapen and she was horrible. Absolutely no compasion whatsoever. When telling my husband that he had weeks to live her manor was unsympathetic and uncaring. One visit involved her registrar telling my husband that the chemo wasnt working and Dr. Essapen sat on the bed next to her picking at loose threads on the cover and making no eye contact with us at all. We were so shocked at hearing such awful news and yet it looked like Dr. Essapen was bored stiff ! Someone needs to tell her to change her attitude towards her most desperately ill patients. I hope that I will never ever experience having a horrible uncaring doctor as her.

My mum was taken to A&E from her nursing home and then transferred to EMU and then onto Eashing ward where she spent the last few hours of her life. Throughout her journey that day mum and our family were treated with the utmost respect and compassion. I will never forget this visit to the hospital and the care we were all given from the ambulance crew who came back to see how mum was to the A&E staff, EMU staff and Eashing ward staff. A big thank you

I am always pleased with the great service at RSCH. The staff are obviously overworked but still upbeat and kind. Thank you

My mother in law had a fall at her nursing home early Saturday and was taken to A&E, treatment and care was superb, and she was transferred to EAU later that morning. Staff brilliant, lovely clean ward, faultless. Sunday we visited & during the visit the nurse brought her some tablets & I asked what they were for, we were told quite casually that she had had a heart attack which caused her fall. The nurse then asked mother in law if she remembered what the Doctor had told her. I said no she wouldn't as she has dementia/Alzheimer's, which they had been informed off, but didn't seem to be aware of the symptoms. This morning I called to say that I would be bringing her in clothes as sadly hers had been lost & if she was going to be discharged I would take her home. I arrived to see no bed in her spot & on eventually being acknowledged was told that she had been discharged & the nursing home had picked her up. I told them that I had said I would collect & that they had my mobile phone number as her main contact. I then drove to the nursing home in Witley to be told no they hadn't picked her up & wasn't aware of her being discharged. The manager phoned the hospital & was told that she was in the Discharge Ward waiting on an ambulance. I had walked past that ward twice. When enquiring when Thelma was discharged was told 2.05pm, it was 5.30pm when she eventually arrived back to me at the nursing home. Luckily she wasn't distressed & loved the ambulance men, but it could easier have been very different. What a waste of time, money & deployment of an ambulance when more communication could have saved this upset. The main thing is that the care was second to none & I was very impressed having not been to the hospital before, so thank you very much, you all do a fantastic job for which we should all be very grateful.

i was selected for the post of er speciality doctor and the hr person is the worst who works just 3 days a week. The hr department personnel took forever and still havent heard from them.
its good to know beforehand itself where the hospital stands. If i am selected for interview and job and this hospital wasted my valuable time. is this how you respect people who want to provide service to the patients. please be more practical or the hospital will shut down.

My husband had a major operation today. Was told somebody would ring me when op was finished. Heard nothing so rang 7.30. Was asked if I had been to visit today. Have a job when I don't know he's on ICU and I live hour and half drive away.
