We're very excited that The Die Hard Company from the Victorian Military Society will be at our Armed Forces Day event on Saturday 30th June, taking us on a journey from the Crimean to the 1st World War. Plenty of excitement as they display their uniform and equipment, and more than a few bangs!!

We regularly go when our grandchildren are visiting. They love the space to just run, the beach to collect shells, the cafe for cake or ice cream, the play areas and the train for a treat and all this for the price of a car park ticket. Excellant value. The only downside being Hants CC inability to get its car park ticket machines altered to take the new £1 coins or to offer payment by card. Catch up HCC all other councils have managed it.

We loved it. Grass kept nice. No dog poo. Lovely walks for the dogs. Nice little beach to sit on and watch the shipping lanes. Dogs went for a paddle. Lovely cup of tea and cake from cafe. May be I went to a different part of the park to the others. Definitely go back next to time we are down that way.

User

We find this park to be beautiful and the views looking out to the water watching boats⛵️ go by .Plenty of areas to go for a stroll and if you are a biker 🚴🏼great place for that too..Great place to have a family day out and play games🏸 🏐🏏.Plenty of facilities. To keep this park up together and keep its beauty please take you rubbish home..Note parking can be expensive but why not buy a yearly ticket it works out a lot cheaper if you decide to visit the park regularly .

Very good place for walk best time if you want to walk along the foreshore low tied

Spent yet another day here with young children yesterday. So much to do, from making dens on the beach to train ride, great new park (love the tubular bells)' walking, picnic, more park, painting slates for the chapel roof, dog show, ice creams, more park. Plenty of trees to shelter under when showers pass over. Five hours of bliss. Oh, and blackberries.

User

Nice place to visit, play park suitable for young children, mini railway that runs regularly during school holidays... during our visit it was a busy day, so carpark full but very large overflow carpark, £4 for day good value... cafe was open plus several icecream vans on site... lovely view of Southampton water with stoney beach, great dog walking area.

Toilets next to cafe.

Would say most areas are accessible for disabled, some hilly areas that maybe more tricky.

Suitable for young and young at heart, would recommend

My fav place to walk my dog. He loves going into the gift shop where the friendly staff especially Donna always has a treat waiting for him. Beautiful surroundings. Park is well kept. No litter anywhere.

User

Love everything about this Park, nice walks, plenty of wild life, lots of history, good play areas for children, nice for dog walking, cafe and rest areas. Lots to see and do

User

I have an annual pass (49.00) and that's for all year round including Christmas day. Unlike some parks and gardens that charge more and are closed part of the year. I enjoy walking through the wooded areas when it's busy, or through the fields beyond the BBQ areas. The beach is lovely in the evenings and I enjoy watching folk's dogs running in and out of the waves. It's a great place to explore - walk along the beach past the yacht club and you can get to Hamble, search the shore line for shells, or in the evenings spot the rabbits playing. Café isn't that great for food but service is good for snacks and cuppa .

User

I frequent visit this park with friends, family and our dogs. Lots of variety in the walks, often cutting through to Hamble, walking around the cemetery or just going through the woods. We always stop at the café on the way back for drinks, food or ice cream. Brilliant service, friendly and efficient staff and good prices. They do get busy when the weather is good but it's great that they pop a sign by the til to let you know roughly how long food will be before you order it.

User

Brilliant for a relaxing family day. Not far from train station. Cafes a bit pricey. Fantastic play area and miniature railway. Good place to take dogs

User

Beautiful place! Clean, well kept, picnic tables and lovely cafe. Great play park for the kids. Big win win for dogs and children! Lots to do, could easily spend the whole day here! All for just the cost of parking! Will be coming back many more times

User

Absolutely love this place! The play areas are well designed with something for all ages, for example there are 2 zip wires which means queues are at a minimum, lots of benches for grown ups and the new toddler area was really good. The cafe is lovely and well priced. Woods to explore and lots of benches for picnics. My only complaints are that the parking machines don't take the new pound coins, and by 2.45pm toilet roll had run out in the ladies toilet.

User

Went yesterday park was absolutely full of rubbish Bags and bags left behind , no sigh of park staff picking it up , bins few and far between , I have a yearly pass which I don't really use that much in the summer , due to the amount of traffic and caravans passing which put my dogs at risk , parking expensive at £1.70 an hour , prefer to use in the winter months when the litter louts stay at home !!!

User

Very muddy, I got the pushchair stuck in mud. It will be good once the building work is completed. The park is brilliant and great for children, toddlers and parents can participate with them.

The cafe did a very good soup, were helpful and if you take your own coffee container you can get 10% off you drink.

User

Usually love this place.... so many good things BUT today my daughter fell into a hole of muddy water located on a flat piece of land near to a bench on the cricket pitch. She was with my parents at the time, she is unhurt but she was covered in this dirty water and quite upset. If you're using the cricket pitch area please keep an eye out as I wouldn't want anyone else to fall in and hurt themselves. Staff at the park office were very helpful and hopefully they have passed on the concern to the correct team to rectify. Just sharing the info x

My wife felt disappointed that there was hardly anything for our disabled son to go on in the park. He needs help getting on to things, cannot climb or walk very far. The basket swings could do with being deeper so less abled children don't fall out and a bit lower to the ground to make it easier to access. The sensory garden just seems overgrown with a bench here and there. Why can't there be xylophones and wind chimes in there to make it more interesting? Maybe speakers with songbirds and sensory sounds, ie: water running, frogs croaking, even some garden ornaments would be something! A water feature perhaps?

User

I usually love this place and spend a lot of time there was friends and my kids. However after deciding to visit there for an evening play tonight, we went down onto the beach and some delusional thick wits thought it would be a good idea to set off fireworks in which 2 launched across the beach into the firing line of my 17 month old daughter, which seriously scared us and angered us. The family had no apology or acknowledgement of the danger and when we left the park they then followed up by hurling a load of abuse at us!! This shook up my 5 year old son as well. If anyone sees this review or this was u... black Vauxhall insignia starting eu14 left the park at 8.30pm, we will get details. We will proceed further! The park is open until 9pm and there are no wardens, no one to speak to, toilets are shut !! Sort it out

User

The big green toddler slide needs to have a rubber bit at the bottom my child has got burns up his arm as theres nothing at the bottom to stop them they just slide onto bark floor! A few parents experienced this and just think there needs to be something at the bottom
