What a fab spot for an early evening drink 👍❤️🍾

We went up in the lift as it's on the third floor, we stopped at the first floor and there was a costume exhibition and on the second floor there was an exhibition about how cartoons came about and on the third floor was the rooftop restaurant, we had afternoon tea for one, it was plenty big enough for two people, you get good views over Stratford upon Avon, it has good food.

We always eat in the Rooftop Restaurant when we attend an RSC performance and we are never disappointed. The staff are friendly and polite, the service is speedy and the food is always excellent plus you have the comfort of knowing that you will not be late for a performance!

User

Visited the rooftop restaurant before going to see Romeo and Juliet. Loved the restaurant, the staff were very attentive, efficient and made sure we were served in plenty of time to get to our seats for the play. The food was superb, as was my cocktail. Will definitely visit again.

User

The service is good high tea was a nice choice of sandwiches and cakes with scone jam and clotted cream

User

Thank you for a wonderful lunch. The staff were wonderfully friendly and attentively looked after our 7 year old daughter, giving her a fabulous time for her birthday lunch. Big thanks to you all for the extra care and attention you offer!

User

Stunning views, great service, fantastic afternoon tea - the vegan afternoon tea was fabulous - very nice sandwiches, champagne and cakes!

User

Staff were extremely attentive and friendly, the decor and atmosphere were great and the vegan high tea was very nice, especially the whipped cream and the mushroom sandwiches! There should be more mushroom sandwiches!

User

My new favourite place. Amazing vegan afternoon tea. Beautiful views from the balcony. Lovely staff. It really was a treat. This was my ‘happy place’ today. Thank you.

We will see you again soon.

Lovely dinner -again. We love the Rooftop! I had Bloody Mary tomato salad which was fresh with subtle notes of Worcester sauce and vodka, then crab linguine, perfectly cooked with a rich, generous crab sauce and scrumptious real chocolate tart. A great place to eat.

User

It was great, we only had a drink, but that barman is a dab hand at the cocktails. We sat in those comfy chairs looking out the window watching the world go by, I have to say the market stall tents, gardens and people below felt like I was part of a jigsaw puzzle, brilliant. We did come up the lift but went down the stairs, and that is not to be missed either. A really great place to be.

User

Great location, excellent food, and attentive staff, highly recommend

User

Excellent food and service again. Visit once a year with my daughter.

User

The food and service were both very good however we were disappointed to be seated next to brick wall with no view. We asked for a window table but were told they were all booked. This was annoying as we had not been asked if we wanted a window table when we booked several months ago. What is the point of a rooftop restaurant if you’re looking at a wall???? Kind of spoiled the experience.

Second visit here yesterday, this time for a birthday celebration for two friends. We had the afternoon tea which was lovely. On my first visit I was overcharged and again yesterday. Luckily the barman remembered us and could confirm to the ‘unimpressed’ waitress that we were overcharged. It’s a shame she was quite rude, otherwise we may have given 5stars. When we are spending our time and money somewhere, I don’t think asking for good service is too much to ask for.

User

Quality of food is very good although some dishes lack quantity. We found the service excellent and the waiter was able to offer advice about quantities and suggest when side order/s might be appropriate. We asked for a relatively quiet spot and our needs were accommodated. No problem about getting to the theatre in time. We did book for meal at 5.30pm. Service charge was added but we were told that it was voluntary and we were asked if it was OK to leave it on the bill. It is not ‘pile it high, sell it cheap’ so expect higher prices than most chain restaurants. We enjoyed the occasion and would repeat the experience.

Nice food well presented very quick and slick service lovely waitress smiley friendly nothing to much trouble

Nice setting I asked for a table outside when I booked and they saved me one even though we were 1/2 hour late 🤭 we decided to have a drink elsewhere as drinks prices are expensive £31 for bottle of prosseco £10 at Wetherspoon s

User

A lovely venue to have a meal before your play, if it’s a nice evening then you can sit out on the terrace for your meal. tip - get there early to get a table outside

User

The service from the staff was very good and we were given a view of the garden/fountain area. We went for a pre theatre meal and was disappointed by the food. Though the quality was there the main course was the size of a starter. No wonder they charge £3.95 for a side. You need it to supplement the meal. My friend had the sea bass which was tasteless in her opinion. What I did not know is that they charge a service charge. A shame that this dampered the evening.
