Ivy - Domestic Short Hair - 5 Years - Female
Ivy came into us via an inspector - she is a little timid at first but very friendly when you spend some time with her! She loves to nuzzle and snuggle against you. Ivy is a bit of a night owl and likes her peace and quiet, and is much more active during the evening.
We think she would be best suited to a household with secondary age children and will need to be able to go outside and explore once she has settled in.

We are really pleased to hear that our submission to Tesco Bags of Help has been successful and we are well on the way to replacing the flooring in our rabbit unit.
Tesco have a strong local community presence and offer local charities and community groups the chance to apply for funding for essential projects. Our application for much needed funding for our rabbit unit struck a chord with the selection committee, who informed us that our project will be put forward to a cust...omer vote in Tesco stores during November and December 2018.
The participating stores are as follows:
Armthorpe Tesco Express; Barnsley Road Tesco Express;
Bentley Tesco Express; Edenthorpe Tesco Superstore;
Bessacarr Tesco Express; Hatfield Tesco Express;
Balby Tesco Extra; Wentworth Road Tesco Express;
Wheatley Road Tesco Express
Your votes really count. So please, hop on down to your nearest Tesco, pick up your blue token and post it in our voting box. Let's get our rabbits the new flooring they need!

We can’t wait to meet the children and staff of Dinnington Community Primary School. We’ve been asked to spend some time at the school to talk about the work we do - exciting times!

We’ve enjoyed a great couple of days with groups from Close Brothers Motor Finance and RBS/Lombard - they all worked so hard on our grounds and gave 100%. We really look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Dean- Greyhound- 10 years old- Male
Dean is such a sweet old guy. He's super chilled and enjoys having some TLC in our compound whilst relaxing on the sofa. He's been fine around other dogs he's met around the centre and doesn't seem that interested in them, but he does enjoy having a little play with dogs of his own size. Dean could live with children aged 8+ following a successful introduction. Adoption fee £150

It was good to see Katie and her friends and relatives, who popped by to drop off this gorgeous hamper of treats and toys for the animals here at the Centre. Katie is getting married soon so it was lovely of her to think of us in the midst of her wedding plans. We all wish you the very best and have a fantastic day!

I HAVE A RESERVE
Sam - Domestic Short Hair - 1 Year - Male
Sam is a gorgeous young cat who is quite timid at first but after a few days he has started to come round and enjoys a good fuss - he's got a really lovely purr!
... Sam would be best suited to a family with older children as he does like his peace and quiet, and has spent most of his early life living as a stray. Sam could live with other cats but hasn't experienced dogs. As he has been a stray we would advise he is kept in a little longer than most to make sure he learns that he now has a proper home.
Adoption Fee: £90.00

Can you help? A female tabby cat by the name of Tiffany has been lost in the Greasbrough area S61 and is far from home. The owner is very upset as she has been lost in transit whilst in another persons care. Thankfully she is microchipped and the details are up to date. If you think you may have seen Tiffany in the S61 please call her owner on 07751 681422 as her owner dearly wishes her home. Thank you

Myrtle - SLH - 16 weeks - Female
Myrtle is a lovely and affectionate girl who loves cuddles. She came into the centre as a stray cat so we believe she deserves a home that can shower her in attention, so we would recommend for someone to be around part of the day to pamper to her wants.
This little girl is a fluffy ball of energy and she loves to play, so its possible that she could live with a friendly cat. Myrtle will most likely get along with a friendly dog, given time... to get used to each other.
Adoption Fee £110.00

Thank you so much to tamzin . You helped my pet jack russell when all else failed for her . I called loads of vets in doncaster to help her . I was sure she would need a c setion . None of them wanted to help us because we didnt have the fee of approx 800 pound up front . . My last resort was the rspca and you came up trumps . You sorted a vet for her to be seen and operated on . She sadly lost all her 5 puppies but she has made it through . Thank you so much i owe you my dogs life xxx

I'd been stalking the dogs on the RSPCA and Dogs Trust web sites for months, we're looking for a staffy. We were made to feel very welcome and left to wander round the kennels at our leisure. We took 3 staffys out to the field, Diesel, Stella and Lexi, all of which were gorgeous dogs. Kinda got my heart set on Lexi so i'm just praying she's still there when we get back from holiday at the end of this month All of the animal kennels were immaculate and most of the dogs were so friendly. Heartbreaking to see them in there x

I found my best friend here <3 We didn't come too look at the dogs and the boy I fell in love with wasn't allowed to be rehomed yet, but we waited patiently, bugging for updates whenever we could and eventually on Christmas Eve 6 months later, took home my raggedy 11 year old Bracken. He was old and hadn't had a good time for the past year, and we prepared ourselves for not getting a full lifetime with him by promising that for as long as he had left, he would be adored. "Dude" as he prefers to be called (Bracken is his naughty name) turned 14 last month and I am grateful for every moment we have with him thanks to the fantastic job you do there. <3

We had a marvellous German Shepherd from Bawtry in 1982 and subsequently, being more than grateful, supported them in any way we could, both financially or with food etc. Then about 2005, I found 2 tame rabbits in a lay-by near Clayworth that had obviously been dumped. Took them to RSPCA Bawtry to be told by the receptionist that if we left them there they would be put to sleep. Obviously this turned me against the organisation, but in early 2018, having recently lost our much loved dog to cancer, thought we would give a rescue dog a good home, and went to Bawtry to give them another chance. On asking the receptionist if we could look around to see what they had in, was told "We don't allow that now, you have to fill a form in specifying what you are looking for and we will bring 3 dogs for you to see". Well Bawtry, I don't have a specific type in mind. It could be anything from a Jack Russell to a Great Dane, and it may have been an option to re-home 2 dogs. I do not need you to show me 3 dogs that you are desperate to get rid of, I want the choice to be mine, based on my considerable knowledge of dogs. Whoever devised this policy needs to have a serious word with themselves, as you have lost a possible first class home for at least one and possibly two dogs. You really are not doing the best for the animals in your care, and do not deserve the public support that you are constantly trying to attract. I will now look to a rescue centre that has the interest of its animals at heart and never darken your door again.

User

Very disappointing visit today, if I could put less than 1 star I would staff were downright rude and basically accused us of stealing after leaving money in the charity tub as it says you should! Will not be coming back, and will in future be going to the other animal sanctuary down the road which is 1000% better than these!
