What a lovely little find in Padstow. Had a date night with my husband and couldn’t have asked for a more attentive and knowledgeable bar tender. Having got to 50 and never tasted gin, I was gently persuaded by the bar tender according to my tastes generally. Loved every part of this quirky and very lovely bar. Thank you!

We loved it, went in yesterday, we had a Tarquins Gin each, got to be done being Cornish, the young guy serving was really friendly and polite and told us a bit about Tarquins which we found very interesting, will definitley go again

Stunning cocktails in an equally stunning and cosy bar. Very knowledgeable staff with excellent descriptions of the cocktails. Our border terrier loved it too. We will be back.

My hubby and I were delighted to find Ruby's bar this weekend whilst visiting Padstow & the Christmas Festival. We found the service to be both friendly and swift and as a previous reviewer mentioned the young man behind the bar was very knowledgeable indeed. Yes it's small but I wouldn't say cramped and we feel its size just adds to its charm. Will definitely head for Ruby's on our return to Padstow �

Great addition to Padstow. Loved the pub feel to a very contemporary menu, rather than cliché cocktail bar. Don't really understand people complaining about serving time, get it the Cornish spirit... It'll be done dreckly. Price was what I'd expect for a decent cocktail bar. Staff great and happy to experiment. Will be back!

Fabulous cocktails and a good selection of drinks, bar staff were brilliant and asked us to sample a new cocktail!! Felt relaxed and atmosphere is warm and welcoming, definitely worth a visit whilst in Padstow!!

We went there as part of a grown ups Hen do. The Bar team were attentive and funny. Great cocktails. Perfect. Thank you.

Popped in here for a pre-dinner drink. Good selection of gins so very happy. The bartender took a lot of care over preparing my drink. Very cosy seating and not a place to spend all evening there but ideal for a short stop. Only reason it's not a 5* is that it's a bit too cosy when we were joined in our seating area by a large party. Definitely felt you were part of their conversation you were so close.

Like the decor and ambience, we were there on a quiet Friday early evening so didn't wait too long for drinks, bar staff didn't seem too knowledgeable about some of the gins on offer. Quite expensive but fine for a pre or post dinner drink. Definitely wouldn't go for a full on drinking session!!! But still feel it's an asset to Padstow as it's different to other drinking establishments there.

Like some of the other comments, service is very slow and venue very cramped. Nice cocktails but pricey so not a place to go for more than one drink because of service and how cramped.

Delicious cocktail. Slow service. Don’t like drinking cocktails in a sophisticated bar where I am falling over dogs, when I want a lovely night out. Beautiful interior.

Turned up for a night cap at 22.20 was promptly told by bar staff he's stopping serving after 22.30.

Even tho bar is open till 23.00.

Made to feel a hugh inconvenince to him he made us feel uncomfortable and awkward.

The 4 of us left and took our money to another bar in padstow who were far more welcoming.

Shocking lack of respect to good paying customers.

*dont waste your money here. There are loads more friendlier bars to visit!

No good when it's busy. Two staff on a Saturday night, one taking orders and one trying to make drinks, better off not offering table service and having two mixing. Disappointed
