Went to the golf club with all the family that we won't be seeing over Christmas and to celebrate my twins 36th birthday very impressed with the food plenty of it and a lot of variety the grandchildren loved it as did my 81 year old mother all the tables dressed for the festivities which made for lovely afternoon.

We have been visiting this fantastic venue for over 20 years now, both as a society, and for own golf. ALL the staff have ALWAYS been very courteous and welcome and cheerfull. The course is fantastic, with lots of different challenging holes. The food has also been top notch in all this time, the breakfast is one of the best around. If i had to play one last round anywhere before i croak, it woukd be RUFFORD, NO CONTEST. Thank you Rufford for another great all round day yesterday, again.

Visited yesterday with a friend who hadn't played there. We were met with a warm welcome from John who was very helpful, especially as my friend had forgot to bring his golf shoes. A pair were found very quickly, allowing him to play. Thanks John. Couldn't have been more helpful. Winter golf on temporary greens but still enjoyed the experience. Well signed all the way round for newcomers, and a very warm, welcoming bar awaited us after our round. Very friendly staff and a very enjoyable round of golf. Will definitely be back.......in the spring!!!

Rufford has always been a great course to play. Yesterday 1st November it hosted the NAPGA and the greens were in A1 condition. The course was great also. Fantastic for the time of year. Highlight is the 17th from the elevated tee position. One of the best holes in Nottinghamshire!!!

Really good course, lots of challenging greens. A good breakfast and a friendly welcome from all staff and members. Look forward to returning.

Played it yesterday 13th May with The Old School Inn golf society. We all enjoyed the course and the staff were 1st class . We will be back. Only one problem ...can you please fill that little hole in ... in front of the 17th it keeps getting in the way. ��

Played for the first time yesterday and what a great experience from the friendly pro in the shop to the stunning layout of the course. The course was in fantastic condition. The greens have been kept really well, lighting fast but really resposive.



A tricky course with some great hole designs. Quite open off the tee's but does punish you if your offline. The hightlight was the 17th. An amazing par 3 from a hugely elevated tee to a Island green 175 yards below you.



All this for £15 booked on Teeofftimes. One of the best courses we have played and a hightlight of our golfing season. Keep up the good work, we will be back

I've played a lot of courses and this is one of the best. Fairways and greens are exceptional for the end of December. Very friendly people and good clubhouse. If you get chance to play this course you won't regret it.

Had a super day a bit windy but the green are so good for February a nice warm welcome from the moment we entered the building from the staff on the desk to the staff in the bar thanks for a lovely day will be back soon from the group from Sickleholme golf club

Great course. Really good condition. From tee box to greens, this course has been well maintained. Well worth a visit before the winter greens come into play

First time we’ve played the course. Really enjoyed the challenge. Considering the weather this year it was in good condition. Will definitely come back again - will bring my snorkelling kit and volunteer to remove all the balls from the 17th lake as it must be almost full!😀 Three of us put at least one ball in there. Very helpful and friendly staff made us very welcome - many thanks.

First Class Golf Course ---every hole is different and the challenging holes are still playable... The greens are top quality and the recent changes and improvements make this possible the best in the East Midlands !!!!

Favourite course love the place � it's set in a great location with some stunning holes friendly staff too... if I won the lotto I'd bloody buy it !!!

Amazing course and in fantastic condition will definitely be coming again! Clubhouse was lovely and the steak pie amazing. Highly recommend this brilliant golf course

What a great surprise. Very welcoming and friendly Pro's, a highly enjoyable course in good nick considering the rain we'd had over the last week. Halfway house facility by phoning from the 9th tee. Although we were on forward tees, it still presented a test. Society's welcome on a Saturday (member's clubs should take note). The signature hole (17th) looked superb form the top tee. Worth a trip back just to play that in the summer. You can play off any tees you want as well in the summer. How many other clubs allow that? Super value.

Nice tricky layed out course. Some long par 3's with postage stamp green and a monster of a par 5 on the back nine with OOB all the way down the right. Track in good condition and greens running well for this time of year. Great snap in the bar afterwards.

Great all round golf course and facilities...... been a while since i've played the course but i called for a practice on the range yesterday afternoon. I must say the course itself is looking in great shape and i look forward to playing our Society round later in the year! Been to a couple of functions here too recently and the staff and food are exceptional. Range could do with making a little more interesting but all in all a good all round place!

Good course and some testing part threes - 17th is a potential round wrecker! Can be very busy as its perfectly set up for society golf. The fairways are wide, there is protection of the holes and drives with bunkers, water also on a few holes and the scenery is great in most areas of the course. All in all would definitely go again. My only picking point is the greens were a little soft and retained a lot of moisture from previous days rain but it is just a minor criticism.

Played their "open" yesterday (10th Seotember). Great reception, fabulous clubhouse with really good customer service. The kitchen and bar staff were great.

We played 18 holes in the rain but still came off smiling.

The food was excellent.

A great event and many thanks to all the staff.

Can't wait to return.
