Rumsey'S Chocolaterie Wendover

We are really excited to be heading along to Peterley Manor Farm in October for “Feast on the Farm”. Lots of other wonderful local producers - oh, and both adult and kids chocolate workshops on offer. What’s not to love?!

Children get to have all the fun! Invent your very own chocolate bars in our summer workshops. Spaces are limited to 4 per session and most be booked in advance at our chocolateries.

Children will be taught how to pipe freshly tempered chocolate into our bar moulds. Our chocolatiers will help ensure they create the perfect bars with even segments and creative decorations. They will be able to add flavours and further decorations before leaving them to set.
Whilst the bars are setting children will get the chance to design and draw their own bar wrappers. Each child will also get a to enjoy an ice cream milkshake or hot chocolate whilst they get creativ...e!
Finally they’ll wrap their chocolate bars, with their very own wrappers, ready to take home.
£20 per child (including over £6 worth of chocolate to take home).
Sessions last one hour, for ages 5-13yrs.
A spectating adult must accompany, although they can sit separately and enjoy a peaceful coffee if they wish!

‪Our summer special is a perfectly timed ace for the second week of Wimbledon. A bowl of fresh English strawberries served with buttery Viennese biscuits and either a scoop of Rumsey’s homemade ice cream or some delicious local cream. Game, set and match!

Friday afternoons were made for ice cream milkshakes. Ours have two scoops of our very own ice cream and the best Guernsey milk courtesy of Laceys' Family Farm. They come with handmade chocolate decorations and a chocolate chip biscuit on the side! Mmmm.

We had a fabulous evening last night hosting our charity partner Chilterns MS Centre and their corporate friends. What a lovely group of generous people. Everyone enjoyed a spot of chocolate making as well as plenty of food and drink. The hot weather meant a last minute menu change to include ICE CREAM!

This sun is HOT and so we are ready and waiting to refresh you with a delicious ice cream. All our ice creams are made in our chocolaterie from the very best ingredients. Current flavours are: vanilla, chocolate, honeycomb, strawberry, banana, white chocolate & coconut. Eat in (we have aircon!) or takeaway.

It’s all about “Kane” on the shirts here today! Our handmade chocolate footballers are £15 and included your choice of name piped onto the shirt whilst you wait.

Our ice cream is made in our chocolaterie. At this time of year that often means one of team working a night shift as space is somewhat limited! We use the very best ingredients (local and independent businesses where possible, hello Laceys' Family Farm 👋) and that means you end up with the very best taste. You can get one to takeaway or come in, take a seat and savour the moment!

Meet one of our newer chocolates... The banoffee chocolate is a brilliant addition to the cabinet. It has a biscuit base, banana ganache in the middle and a caramel layer to top. Each one is then individually dipped by hand in milk chocolate and beautifully decorated with a palm tree design on top.

Our chocolate footballers come with complimentary personalisation to the back of their shirt. Done whilst you wait! The perfect gift for any football fans, and just £15.

We visited yesterday. We had a lovely lunch the food was excellent and the service was great. We also treated ourselves to some chocolates which are just heavenly. We will be back again soon.

Totally different from what I expected. Very quaint old building, small cafe with behind glass chocolate making facility. I had homemade soup that was yummy, will be back for my hot chocolate!

Oh my lord the hot chocolates was absolutely delicious. So so so chocolatey and indulgent! The cakes were also amazing! I had carrot cake which was so moist and my partner had the chocolate cake with raspberry ganache and it was incredible. Would highly recommend to anyone with a sweet tooth. The staff were also lovely. Over all a great little place!

Love coming here on a day off with my boy, staff are always friendly and helpful!

Just the spot after 10 mile hike along the Ridgeway. Delightful service & delicious millionaire’s shortbread topped with their excellent chocolate. Worth a detour - even on foot!

I visited Ramsey's quite a few times and I love it. Lovely staff. Nice and welcoming environment. The best hot chocolate and mocha I've ever had. Delicious Cakes and ice cream. I can't fault it. I brought friends and family and they loved it too. I would definitely go back. ���

I highly recommend the pavlova cake that goes very well with a cup of cappuccino.

I have been searching for coffee flavoured dark chocolate for months with little success.....then I came across Rumseys. A call to the owner, Nigel, and within a few days my problem was solved. I have just taken delivery of some small dark chocolates in the ee of coffee beans with distinct coffee flavour.....they are even better than some I purchased in Belgium a couple of years ago. Anyone with the same passion for coffee flavoured dark chocolate look no further than Rumseys of Wendover. A pleasure to do business with....highly recommended.

Had a great lunch with friends from work. Soup was fab, cake was amazing, friendly staff and the espresso size hot chocolate was stunning.

Delightful place. Staff are lovely. Choclate is literally to die for �. Toilets need renovating.

Beautiful cake and amazing chocloate... all served with a pot of tea. Quick service and a quaint little shop.

Nice visit. Smiley welcome and sorted us out a table straight away. Order was taken quickly and food and drinks arrived in good time. (Pate, salad and homemade oatcakes was very good, as was the egg sandwich.) Good service. No complaints at all. Will go back soon.

Today we visited for a treat as our son had been really good during his hair cut. First impressions the shop/cafe was lovely and quaint. It took a while for us to be finally brought menus and then to eventually order. We had the fruit Sunday and the hot chocolate brownie. I had to leave half of my brownie as it's was burnt around the edges and just didn't taste nice at all. Also there was some sort of grease or something on the table which had transferred onto my brand new t-shit (I wouldn't mind but it's the first time I've worn it and it's now ruined). After we had finished we waited at the table for a good 15 minutes for someone to come and clear the table so we could give feedback but no one was interested at all. Eventually we went to the till to pay, not once were we asked how our experience had been to let them know that we had been left disappointed so we ended up paying for a half eaten dessert and left. It's such a shame because I think the place could provide a really lovely experience if given the chance.

Amazing food, lovely cakes and hot chocolate! The staff is the only problem, they don't seem to know what they doing at all. I counted at least 6 members of stuff on a Sunday. I wouldn't say it was busy at the time. We ordered drinks, sandwiches and cakes on the end. They wanted to bring cakes first, we had to ask them to do it after the sandwiches (took about 30minutes) even the people came after us got theirs first. They brought us 4forks instead of 5, tried to bring out more coffees what was supposed to go to an other table spending more time talking to each other than on service. The family sitting next to us were not happy either for sure as they didn't get what they ordered. I used to work in a similar place and I can say they could have easily done it a lot better if they wanted to. I would focus more on this and to have 1person on shift who organises others as it just creates chaos at te moment and makes the whole experience disappointing.

You need new staff. Those idiots you have at the moment can't seem to cope with more than one customer in the shop. I waited an age for my hot chocolate! Never coming back here again and I'll tell others not to waste their time either.
