We've got a big selection of Altra test shoes over the weekend if you want to try a pair. We don't get this opportunity very often, so please take advantage of it! Altra are an incredibly simple concept; they are the shape of your foot and allow your foot to land how nature intended! We will have the Lone Peak (the off road shoe) with us at the Rugged Radnage on Sunday morning.

We've just had a delivery from Altra of test shoes in their key models. We'll be open until 7.30pm tonight if you want to try them on and go for a short run. Altra are growing in popularity all the time. The '0mm drop' and the wide toe box really helps your footstrike and are incredibly comfortable.

It's the time of year when you often need some light to see where you're running! The Silva Trailrunner 4 is a brilliant bit of kit. 350 lumens is very bright; enough to confidently run off road. Very light and so well designed that you quickly forget you're wearing it. You can get a free reflective, waist belt (worth £20) when you buy one this month.

Well done to all who ran the Marlow Half and 7m this morning. And well done to Marlow Striders for putting on a great event...surely the best yet! We were very busy in the race village and post race in the Shop. Next local race is the Rugged Radnage in two weeks time.

Weather now looking good for the Marlow Half tomorrow morning. As well as providing most of the winners' prizes, On have given us some great bags that are free with any On shoes purchased at the event or in the Shop tomorrow. There are a limited number, so get in quickly!

What an amazing experience,. They have a running machine in the shop where they film you running and repeat it in slow motion to look at how you run. My odd lean was corrected with different shoes, which I tried and was filmed again to see the way I ran differently, and better for my body, with the right shoes. Quite incredible. Genuine running enthusiasts, and also reasonable price. Cannot recommend highly enough!

I have been visiting Runners Retreat for about 18 months. When I started running, I was invited by Helen, to pop along for a chat about the best shoes for me. Matt, Brian and Helen are a great knowledge base on running and running kit, and are a friendly bunch.

I am now on my 5th pair of running shoes from there! I have worn two pairs out, and have 3 on the go. A fault developed with one pair, and they were accepted back without question, I know this would not have happened if I bought the shoes online.

I have always been pleased with the choice of shoe recommended to me, and will no doubt be back for more in the future.

Found this fantastic little shop when we stayed in Marlow visiting the Hand and Flowers. Popped in for a browse and came away with some great sports sunglasses and a running route.. Which we ran prior to our dinner that night!! Very friendly folk and hope to visit again when are next in Marlow!!

Finally got around to getting the correct trainers for the Moonwalk next month!! Very helpful, very knowledgeable and I love my new trainers... that just so happened to only be available in purple! Bonus! Thank you RR ;)

Came into the store with my boyfriend over the weekend and we both had our gait analysed by Brian. I've been running for a year now but have just signed up for my first 10k. I found out I pronate my feet quite a lot when I run and needed trainers that would correct this. I've just had my first run in them and have set 2 PB's! Extremely happy. I can run for longer in my new trainers and feel less tired afterwards.

Brilliant trainers from wonderful people. So knowledgeable without being patronising!
