Congratulations to recent Geology students, Hannah Worthington and Jack Smith, who were both ranked in the top five students in the country completing their OCR A level Geology exams this summer.
This made Runshaw College the only OCR A Level Geology provider in the country with two students in the top 15 to complete their A level course this year. Both Hannah and Jack are continuing on to study Earth Sciences at Oxford and Edinburgh Universities, respectively, and both Runshaw and OCR have passed on their best wishes for success in their future studies.

The School of Science recently celebrated the Medical and Science Society awards evening to celebrate their achievements over the past twelve months.
The evening saw three students, Katy Hempson, Skye McGreavy and Harry Best deliver outstanding talks on the projects they had completed for CREST, including type 1 diabetes, influenza and rectennas, with all members recognised for their participation in the societies by our guest of honour, Dr. Jim Gardener, Deputy Head of the School of Medicine at UCLan. The evening was a wonderful opportunity for the students to showcase their achievements over the past twelve months and round off another record-breaking year!

Left in 2014 and have to say the college gave me the best education for my university course I could have received. The information I got is still useful regularly. Loved my time here

User

In a word, superb. Had the best time here, so much on offer and an amazing community atmosphere throughout.

I came to watch the play "Strings" last night with my daughter. It was absolutely fantastic!! Everything, from the writing, acting, staging, lighting and sound was top notch. A thoroughly entertaining and engaging emotional rollercoaster ride. Highest praise to everyone involved. Wonderful!!

Had the most amazing time last night at Foxholes for the Chinese New Year theme night in aid of the Stroke Association, the event, organised by my daughter, Sian Harrell, was a resounding success, raising ยฃ100 for the charity, the food was amazing as was the hospitality, the students did an impeccable job, from front of house to behind the scenes in the kitchen, and should be extremely proud of their achievements, a massive thank you must go to Kath,Fiona,Russell and the rest of the hospitality tutors for their dedication, both within, and outside college hours, thank you

Study literally anywhere else, just not here.

In partnership with Wigan Schools? I don't think so... Wigan L.A. includes Ashton in Makerfield. You wouldn't accept a student from a school in Ashton despite sending your prospectus into the school and you were very unpleasant about it when challenged. Big mistake on your part. He was Head boy, did well in his A levels at a great 6th form and is now at University.

Disgusting college.

I would strongly urge people to avoid going here if they've got disabilities, mental health problems, special needs & vulnerable.

I was treated appalling by Langdale campus & study support was everything apart from supportive.

I will never stop raising awareness for what this corrupted organisation put me & my family through.
