went last night for 1st time.the staff were brilliant,polite,and couldnt do enough for you.the food was gorgeous..lovely starter parmo and a pint for 10.00 n delicious dessert...recommend this place to everyone n me n billy will definately be goin back.lovely night!xx

Wow amazing food cooked perfect steak was absolutely gorgeous cooked t perfection and starters were amazing would defo recommend this place for anyone really cheap. Also portions were huge so ideal for big eaters. I felt awful leaving half mine but the waiter gave me a tray t bring home so defo added bonus. Complimentary drinks given t celebrate hubby birthday such a friendly place with great atmosphere will defo be returning and reccommending to other. Thanks x

We have frequented this restaurant on numerous occasions, my wife and I both held our 60th birthday parties here ( brilliant nights had by all ), we regularly have sunday lunch and are happy to return so often because of the nice friendly staff, comfortable clean surroundings and the owner thinks nothing of having a nice friendly chat with the clientele....Try it to find out for yourselves, you won,t be dissappointed

We attended a wedding reception yesterday and the food was delicious. The staff were really friendly I would recommend this place and will be back very soon.

Visited the Ruskin restaurant lots of times on Sunday staff are very polite and very helpful. It was my mother and father in laws 65th wedding anniversary last time ten of us went on last sitting staff and food were excellent great team work xx

This is by far the best restaurant in town for a Sunday lunch. The carvery is amazing the meat is always succulent and a fab selection of veg. The staff are pretty friendly too. It's a bit expensive but it's well worth the money! �

Thank you, Ruskin's for such a delicious meal, Potato skins to start with dips then I had Skillet of King Prawns in garlic butter with onions and vegetables, my husband Ralph who was celebrating his 77th year had steak king prawns and chips. Such a enjoyable perfectly cooked meal, large portions of everything. We have been going to your restaurant since you opened and we can't fault anything we know when we leave we wil feel sated and so content. Thank You.

Organised a surprise birthday meal for my Husbands 60th birthday tonight and it was absolutely superb !! There was 7 of us and they made the night so special. Dan (the chef) is the best chef ever. The staff are amazing, extremely pleasant,polite and helpful. Highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.

Never fails to deliver a perfect meal I’ve only been for Sunday lunch but oh my talk about value for money compliments to the chef

I went for Sunday lunch ,amazing choice of vegetables, melt in the mouth beef, really good value, it was my first visit today and we will be back again next week. Highly recommended, lovely staff too x

I have been to Ruskins many times before and the service and food is excellent. I have also had family stay at the hotel side of the business and i can honestly say i was shocked at how much value for money the rooms where, clean and spacious. Defo recommend this place!!

First visit to Ruskins & defo won't be the last. The carvery was delicious and the nutella cheesecake to die for. The service & staff were 10/10. Can't wait to return.

The meat was amazing just melted in my mouth but the beg not sure witch one was a bit spicey or pepper for me as I can't even eat popcorn chicken from kfc lol but was nice x

First time I've been, carvary was lovely.so we decided to have sweet.wish we hadn't, I started to eat mine and spoon smelt off fish.I took it bk to the waiter.who didn't even apologise .it spoilt the whole experience. Shame really

Visited this evening with anticipation and high expectations for lobster evening for our wedding anniversary treat from my little sister.. While the drinks were fine (the red wine we tried to order a second bottle of, had ran out....!!); the food left much to be desired. The bread rolls were warm, but obviously cooked from frozen. The fish soup was incredibly disappointing and had large chunks of veg as well as (tinned) tomatoes?!

The lobster was ok but a little overpowered by the flavours.

The fillet steak ordered as an alternative was ok but unseasoned.

All in all an ok meal but didn't live up to expectations at all.

Booked a table for 4pm Saturday, arrived 5 minutes early to find the restaurant / hotel closed. A male came to the door who I assume to be a chef and advised that the owner wasn't there so we couldn't be served despite the table being booked in advance. We were guided to the bar area to sit in almost darkness as none of the lights were on nor were there any other staff. After waiting for 30 minutes with no sign of anyone other than this chef we left with a hungry child. Very disappointed as I've been before for meals and to the carvery and enjoyed it each time.
