We were lucky enough to hold our wedding reception here. They were the only venue to give us exactly what we wanted without trying to change our minds. On the day the staff were fantastic and the food was amazing. Many happy memories made xxx

We absolutely love Russells - we have never had anything less than a fantastic meal and all the staff are attentive and professional. There are some restaurants which are just a cut above the rest - this is one of them!

Spent New Year eve here having 6 course dinner followed by disco, what a fantastic night. Each course cooked to perfection. Steak just as each of us had ordered. Best food I have ever had for a new year celebration. Thank you Barry and team for making us all feel like we were part of one big family on this special night. A triumph

Popped in for a mid-week meal and the food and service were amazing. Took some friends who had never been before and they want to go back next week. Home made freshly cooked food is hard to find in Chelmsford..you won’t be disappointed with this restaurant..just wish I had taken some pics of our food, it looked and tasted Devine! �

Brilliant evening, fabulous food, really recommend the sharing dessert, the owner Barry couldn't do enough for us- without being intrusive. Will definitely be going back soon.

A hidden Gem! Have been to Russell's restaurant on many occasions....for Sunday lunch, a Greek event night and more recently we hired the venue privately for my Nan's 90th birthday party. The food is cooked and presented to a very high standard, the venue is beautiful and Barry and his staff have a wonderful attitude where nothing is too much trouble. Great place to visit for any occasion.

No excuse for foie gras. You're simply profiting from the most appalling and protracted suffering and misery of others.

Hello, I just sent in a comment as I was going to eat at your establishment until I saw Fois Gras on the menu. I have just been informed by someone that you know exactly how it is made and what it entails. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt previously, but I am now totally sickened by your response. Please take this off the menu as it is not a choice for the ducks to not have this done to them so why should a human have the choice to eat it! Totally sickened and outraged at your stance on this!
