Rutland Caravan And Camping

This is a great caravan site. It has an adults only section and a separate family section with play equipment. It also has an indoor heated swimming pool. The facilities are very well kept and beautifully clean. There are 2 pubs in the nearby village about 10 minutes walk away.

Best shower block of all the places we have stayed. Good cafe on site. Camp site clean and tidy if a little featureless.

We showed up here by accident. It's the best mistake we've made, we will be back. Very clean facilities, great cafe and dedicated chef, you could actually just eat there all the time as it's good quality and cheap. Close to the nearby village with two pubs that also provide excellent food and good beer, it's a paradise in middle earth!

But and a big but... We had two small children and was placed right next to the toilet block... some may think oh fab.... but all night people trapsing to the loos shouting loudly waking our children up every 5 mins this went on all night, plus we had some people playing drums and gitar at half 10 in the evening :( doubt we will stay again.

This is our 4th time here now and we have to say 'PERFECT'. The site is spotless including the toilet / shower blocks / swimming pool etc. The facilities are great and extremely child and dog friendly with the woodland for walking the dog. Our Daughter loves the swimming pool ( as we do ). Having recently moved the childrens play area into the centre of the field we could relax watching her from the caravan whilst having fun. Great move. And a BIG ' THANK YOU ' to the staff as nothing is to much of a problem. You set a great example here. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you again in a few months.

Enjoyed 4 nights at Rutland. Adult toilet and shower facilities are exceptionally clean and underfloor heating is a bonus. Rutland water is a beautiful area. Wardens are friendly and efficient. Would return.

Spotless site and reasonable prices. Good pubs in the village.

We took children here in the summer and they loved it swimming in the Water and playing in the sand they enjoyed it there plenty of space to brig a bbq or a picnic or you can get some food, drinks and ice-creams from the cafe never stayed over night but there's plenty of room

Called in advance saying we are in a 27' RV (which is not that big for an RV and they advertise as taking them) but when booking in we were told we were too big! When we questioned this and reminded them we had called in advance, we were told we hadn't said anything about the length of our unit, which I definitely had. After some discussion we were allowed to stay one night. The laughable thing, we got onto our pitch and had room to park our tow car in front of the motorhome without encroaching on the roadway!! Would agree with other reviews, the wardens need to improve on their customer skills. Other than this the site is fine, but based on our experience we'd not return.

This was our first caravan experience and we arrived after picking up our new caravan. On arrival a very nice lady welcomed us after we had booked in. The site itself is immaculate and we stayed in the Adult only part. The toilets, showers etc are modern and immaculately clean. You can get fresh bread, rolls and croissants on a daily basis along with a daily paper but don't forget to order them. Rutland Water is nearby and there are lots of other walks to go on. All through our stay we met different members of staff and they were all welcoming, informative and willing to answer any questions no matter how trivial.
