Would like to say a massive thank you to all pixie manor stuff we took my disabled sister for her birthday and to say the stuff where amazing is an understatement they made her experience amazing and she loved every min of it and hasn’t stopped talking about so would like to say thank you again

We visited pixie manor with my niece and nephew at the weekend and the overall experience was amazing! My nephew who is nearly 5 loved the whole thing...especially making his magic dragon egg! My niece who is 2 years old also thoroughly enjoyed herself. All of the team who worked in pixie manor were very friendly to the children. Although all the team were very good I must say the ‘fairy godmother’ was truly out of this world! I cannot sing her praises enough. It is definitely worth a visit for both boys and girls!

We recently visited the fairies at ruxley manor. It was brillant, the staff (fairies) were all so very friendly and really good with the children, getting down to there level to talk to them and interact with them. My daughter really enjoyed meeting the dragon and decorating her egg and also meeting the fairy god mother who gave my little girl ‘her very own’ fairy wings. I think it was very reasonably priced and defiantly worth the money. We decided to have lunch at the mulberry tree restaurant after. My daughter got this lovely little children’s lunch tray. You could choose what you wanted, it was lovely as it gave her that little bit of independence and she was able to make her own choices. She chose a ham sandwhich, a bottle of water, cucumber chunks, a frube yoghurt and a small pack of cookies, it all came in a little garden tray with some free seeds. The food all tasted fresh. My little girl then spent a few minuets in the soft play while I had a nice cup of tea.

Just to add on, it came to my attention that my little girl had no idea what the seeds were that came with her meal or how they turned in to actually plants. So this past week we have had fun investigating the life life cycle of a plant. We placed it in a pint glass so we could see exactly what happens. Let’s just say ‘Mr Pea ‘ as my daughter has named him is growing very well, and I have one very excited little girl. Who knew learning could be fun We want to Thankyou to everyone at Ruxley & the mulberry tree for a lovely day out. We will defiantly be coming back for a visit soon xxx

Visited pixie manor today with our 2 1/2 old daughter , it was fantastic beautifully set up and staff went the extra mile to make it magical. My daughter absolutely loved the fairy godmother she was excellent with the kids and they really believed she had given them magic . She also loved decorating the dragons egg.

All finished off with afternoon tea .

Visited for the first time ever today. We took our 8 year old daughter to the pixie manor. First thing we done was spoke to customer services as we were unable to book her in for the Afternoon Tea on line ... they had absolutely no problem slotting her in even tho they were fully booked. The pixie manor was beautiful. Once we went for the afternoon tea there was a lady named Fiona who could not have been more helpful if she had tried. She engaged with our daughter and was always happy to help and was always smiling. Will definitely recommend and come back again. Thank you for a fabulous day xx

Second year coming to pixie manor! Such a lovely, different idea. Whoever decorates the place does an amazing job it’s magical for the kids. Only thing is gift bags were better last year ! But for the price wouldn’t complain! Lovely place. We also came for the Santa’s grotto and loved it.

User

I highly recommend Pixie Manor ďż˝ so magical and fun for the kids and they come away with lots of goodies.

Certainly a hidden treasure!

I have to speak as I find..... this was my first visit today and what an enjoyable experience it was. Great selection of things to buy, including a beautiful food court, butchers and restaurant and some items reasonably priced. We booked afternoon tea which was very nice and would highly recommend and nothing was too much trouble! Would go back again ďż˝

User

Went to the pixie and dragon kingdom where staff here were really good and helpful. Went to the restaurant where food was grossly over priced and my son's meal was cold and inedible. We left it and walked out

Hadn’t been to Ruxley Manor since Christmas.. my little ones love going there .. soft play small animals .. circus .. Easter Bunny Hunts etc ... which they’ve just enjoyed again ..

However the Resturant has been revamped and the decor is fabulous .. but it was horrendous trying to manoeuvre a double buggy and shopping around the tables especially as when you enter through main doors to the right is blocked off so it was quite an obstacle course to get to a table

User

the change in the food hall is the biggest single thing that lets this lovely garden centre down ,as a group of friends we used to meet for lunch at least once a fortnight ,but the quality of food and the "school dinner " atmosphere stopped us eating ,then we drifted to other garden centres , its such a shame they changed it ,and although some of the staff really try hard ,the rest seem surly and rude xx

Visited pixie manor on Saturday 11th August with my 5 year old grandson , the decoration was amazing but the actual event very poor, my grandson was the only boy in the group it is more for girls and the staff paid more attention to the girls apart from the fairy godmother who was good with him and got him involved the other staff (pixies and fairies) never spoke to him or tried to involve him so spoilt it for us. Not something we would do again.

I’ve always had a great experience with Ruxley restaurant until today. Queued for 10 mins with my mum and toddler being patient for roasted veg panini to be told they don’t have any. Go to pizza place ask for chicken and pesto pizza. They don’t have that one. It was midday. Absolutely no excuse for no stock. They had chicken so I’m guessing no pesto. There’s a shop 20 steps away they could’ve just bought some?! Very disappointing.

I have returned to Ruxley after trying out a few other places to see Father Christmas over the past few years and I have got to say I am very disappointed. Value for money is shocking. The activities were thoughtless. A snowball target was the first activity which the adults and children just got on with themselves. The reindeer food making was rushed and not made very special or magical as What it was all them years before. The reindeer making workshop was completely pointless as it was manic with no help or direction when some children were struggling. Then Father Christmas visit. When we went before he sat and had a little chat with the kids in a big open space whilst they sat on the floor infront of him. This time it was very cramped, very rushed into giving the kids gifts and getting the photos taken. Then the photos were shocking, bad quality and very bad set up of positioning of the camera. My image which cost an extra £10 consists of us all cramped over one side of the picture and the rest of the false fireplace. My daughter was nearly cut out of the picture before I pointed it out. And I think the main thing I was quite annoyed about is my daughters name was spelt wrong on her gift and my older daughter kept asking questions as to how Santa didn’t know her sisters name!

We arrived at the hot food counter while an older women with grey short hair was moving around the food, we waited there for 15 minutes whilst she ignored us- not once looking up to say anything. Then the chef finally popped his head out after ignoring us too and said that they are getting the lunch ready so they can't serve us yet. There was no courtesy from either person to politely inform us that we have to wait in the first place. Being spoken to in a rude manner I decided to not eat anything, noticing that no one wore a hair net either. Suggestion: if your staff are unable to talk to their customers and ask them to wait whilst they swap from breakfast to lunch, please put up a written notice instead- it's better then pretending you can't see your customers.

Visited for the first time today having pre-booked and pre-paid for a circus themed afternoon tea. After waiting for 40 minutes for the food (and 50 mins for the kid’s food - even after telling staff that one of the children was diabetic and her sugars were getting a bit low); what came out wasn’t what had been promised and paid for and was mostly inedible. We had to ask for items which were missing whilst watching the staff serving other tables in the meantime. The staff were all trying really hard and were really apologetic but it was clearly chaos and the kitchen was unable to cope. Now this is understandable when you just turn up and order food but totally unacceptable when you have pre-booked and pre-paid for something. When I mentioned that the food was not circus themed as promised, I was told that it was Valentines Day so it was Valentines themed. This I was well aware of but it was advertised and paid for as a Circus themed afternoon tea. Cue some very disappointed children. I have formally complained so let’s see if Ruxley Manor can redeem themselves as a refund was not forthcoming today after being requested. Hugely disappointing for all, and a tad embarrassing given that this was supposed to be a birthday treat for family. I shouldn’t think we will be back.

I wasn’t massively happy about paying up front for this very reason as it would seem that once it is all paid for, very little care is then taken to provide a decent service! I would recommend that you think very carefully about booking afternoon tea here....

I’m disgusted of Sidcup !!!!!

Visited Ruxleys Mulberry Tree restaurant today and got to say what an absolute rip off it is !!!!!

My little boy picked up 2 small Milky Way bars and when I got to the checkout the woman rang up ÂŁ2.18 !!!!!!

They are tiny and that’s disgusting. You can buy a packet of 6 for £1.50 in the shops. Don’t get me wrong I expect to pay a little more but that mark up is diabolical.

I put them back and won’t be returning as makes me wonder how else they exploit

I was very disappointed seeing Father Christmas this year. My daughter didn’t enjoy it either. We have been going fior the last 9 years since my daughter was a baby and this one was the worst. Apart from having a naughty child in our group that enjoyed most of the parents and my child. It all seemed so rushed as previous years it was more fun with stuffing the teddy bear and meeting Mother Christmas in her own room telling a story and writing a letter and colouring in wooden decorations was a lot more fun for children. This year was trying to put a reindeer together that was a bit difficult as my daughter had a looking down one and the bits didn’t stay in. Even the elf helper couldn’t do it! So no didn’t enjoy this years one and the present wasn’t good, felt like they’ve cut back and too young for my daughters age! Sorry Ruxley, you need to look at previous years where there was more time and excitement?
