Nice little brickwork job completed towards the end of last year.

This patio was completed back in October last year. It was un-level, dull and full of weeds. A new patio has been laid using Verdi riven Indian sandstone, finished with matching setts along the lawn edge. It’s now smart, level and bright, all ready for the client to use for spring and summer this year. Another project completed and as always very happy customers.

Last year was a busy year at SJ Construction! so only getting round to posting a few more of some jobs that were completed last year. This job was completed back in July/August last year. The existing patio was dated and uneven crazy paving, this was all removed and a new sleek, contemporary patio laid using exterior porcelain tiles. It’s been a while (again!) since I posted a recently completed job. This project was completed back in April. We transformed this completely un-level and unusable garden into a fantastic usable space by excavating back into the bank, constructing a retaining wall and then laying a large patio. Perfect now for relaxing and entertaining! As always a very happy customer.

It’s been a good few (very busy!) months since the last post. This patio was completed back in March now giving this client a smart usable space outside their recently completed conservatory. We have used grey Indian Sandstone laid in staggered rows for a contemporary look and finished around the front edge with black granite setts. Great transformation of this unusable, muddy, un-level area into an attractive level useable patio space. This project was completed back in November and is now ready for the client to use for when summer arrives! Paving is Verdi Indian Sandstone with matching stone walling. Another project completed and another happy customer.

Another week and another great project completed! We returned to a customer where we completed the landscaping earlier in the year, to build a new garage/workshop at the end of the garden. We clad the side facing the garden with half round logs to give the appearance of a log cabin/summerhouse rather than a garage. Thanks to Andy Payne of A.P Roofing for his help and a fantastic job felting the roof. Also thanks to the carpenter & joiner Phil who was contracted in by the customer, who did an awesome job of custom making the garage doors. Was a great building project and again another happy customer.

This project was completed in three phases. Groundwork’s in January, the patio was laid in July and the levelling and lawn area was completed just a couple of weeks ago. The client wanted to create a large patio to relax and entertain on at the bottom of the garden as it gets the sun all day and until it sets. The paving is Riven Indian Sandstone and finished with a brick edging. More posts of recently completed projects to follow soon!

Fantastic design and build project completed a few weeks ago. The existing garden was a typical new build garden, plain and unimaginative. The clients brief for the design was to have a low maintenance, contemporary looking garden to relax and entertain in. This has been achieved using grey sandstone paving, a white rendered raised planter with bamboos for privacy and a sleek batten fence. Another very happy customer.
