The Association is non party-political and shall not ally itself with any political party or group.
Saa Description
The aims of the Staffordshire-Afghanistan Association will be:
· To bring together members of the Afghan communities in Staffordshire by providing classes in Dari, Pushtu and English.
· To provide classes about Afghanistan, its history and culture, especially for the children of the Afghan community in order for them to know their heritage.
· To empower the women of the Afghan community by the provision of Literacy and ESOL classes as they are often isolated.
· To help members of the Afghan community (including migrants, refugees and asylum seekers), residing in Staffordshire, with opportunities to learn about the local culture and the host community in England.
· To enable the Afghan community in Staffordshire to access and contribute to life and society here in a more meaningful way.
· To promote recreational activities, mutual support and joint aid among our members.
· To establish sports clubs and participate in different sporting activities
