Yet another 3 ex-military DAF trucks arrived to have ROPS(Roll Over Protection System) fitted. They will be used for adventure tours in a quarry in North Wales. #quarrylorry #DAF #ROPS #rolloverprotection #rollcage #adventure #quarry

99 problems but a @#*% roll cage ain't one.
There were more than 10 roll overs during the C1 Racing Club 24hr race at Silverstone yesterday, but that wasn't enough to stop them getting to the end of the race!
Huge congratulations to the McAttack Racing team for an incredible drive from 99th on the grid to take the lead and the win on the very last lap.

We're delighted to have supported a great team of wounded, injured and sick members of our armed forces, both serving and veteran, to take on the demanding Carta Rallye in Morocco. The team drove over 4500km to Morocco to compete in the week long event, before driving all the way back to the UK.
Spread the word about the amazing work undertaken by the Future Terrain Charity, so that any veterans out there who need support can contact them and change their future.

The Alfa is complete! Utilising the captured scan data, the ROPS design and materials have been optimised by our engineering team, before being tested as a part of the FIA homologation procedure. With all of the bespoke mounting plates installed and cured, the cage has been meticulously TIG welded into position. #alfaromeo #rollcage #motorsport Bianco Auto Developments

The Alfa 4C is challenging both our CAD and workshop engineers. Here's one from the workshop: welding upside down! #upsidedownwelding #rollcage #alfaromeo4c #motorsport

Aside from not welding this car, we also haven't drilled any holes! The ROPS plates have been modelled from the laser scan data, ensuring a precision fit with the carbon monocoque. After several hours of surface preparation, the plates are bonded in using a specialist two part adhesive. Their position is verified by CMM and they are clamped into place ready for the 7 day curing process to begin.

Laser scanning for the Alfa Romeo 4C project. What do you think?

User

A break from the norm, no welding to this carbon monocoque! We're developing an FIA homologated T45 ROPS with the load plates bonded to the existing structure. Bianco Auto Developments #alfaromeo4c #rollcage

Safety Devices in 1976. Look at those flares and haircut! Our people have changed over the years but thankfully the smiles remain. John Cooke (front right) is still with the company to this day!
