Sailing Barge Edith May

Our fully catered day sails are, without doubt, our favourite trips.
Starting early from Halstow, the day includes cooked breakfast, a delicious 2 course lunch and afternoon tea and cakes, along with drinks and snacks.
But the best bit is the sailing, with a whole day available, all the sights of the Thames and Medway Estuary can be seen -from Rochester to Southend to Whitstable, depending on the wind.

Having had a layover year last year, Edith May will be back competing in this year's Barge Matches.
The Medway is sold out and the Thames Match on 22nd June has one place remaining. The barge will also be competing in the Passage, Pin Mill, Whitstable, Swale and Colne.

It has been a busy winter behind the scenes at the Edith May. Having decided not to open the Tea Room on a regular basis this winter, we enjoyed several Afternoon Tea open days and a couple of cracking gigs by The Lowly Strung and Track Dogs.
Looking ahead to summer, our sailing schedule has just been released with a new online booking system through newly established charter business - Tiller and Wheel Ltd (www.tillerandwheel.com).
First up, the barge will be starting with 1...hr Medway River Trips from Chatham Maritime over the early May bank holiday, which at only £15 a ticket - is one of the most affordable sailing trips anywhere!

Listening to the howling wind and lashing rain, it seems summer is a long way away, but now is the time of year where we start the prep work for the summer.
