The Sainsbury Research Unit (SRU) is a centre for research on the arts of Africa, the Pacific region and the Americas. Based in the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts at the University of East Anglia (Norwich UK), SRU staff specialise in the arts and cultures, past and present, of these regions, with emphasis on interdisciplinary perspectives. Its fine facilities include teaching collections and a specialist library. As part of the School of World Art Studies and Museology (University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK) it maintains high calibre MA and PhD degree programmes, and also offers visiting fellowships.
