For anyone who has ever worshipped at, got /getting married at, been associated with, or simply marvelled at Hemsworth's beautiful Parish Church
S Helen's is the Parish Church of Hemsworth. We are a friendly, welcoming congregation seeking to serve God by serving the people of Hemsworth.
For over 800 years the people of Hemsworth have come to S Helen's in times of sorrow and in times of joy and it continues to be a place of quiet and reflection in our busy world.
S Helen’s is a parish of The Society and is firmly rooted in the Catholic Tradition of the Church of England. We are in the Pastoral Care of the Bishop of Wakefield.
Daily, the Mass is offered, the offices of Morning and Evening are celebrated and confessions are heard

Having returned from a fantastic Wonderfully Made Walsingham Youth Pilgrimage this morning we offer the mass for the intention of the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham (Anglican). Join us at 9.30am

There are lots of end of the school year things going on at the moment. Last week at our church school we had our sports day. Today we had a fabulous St Helen's Got Talent. Tomorrow it's the school leavers Mass. Do join us in School at 10.30am

Monthly Requiem This Tuesday's Mass at 9.30am will be a requiem to pray for those who have died since our last monthly requiem and those whose anniversary falls this month.

We have a new priest. Thanks be to God! Today Bishop Tony ordained Fr Blair for The Society in our diocese. Please pray for Fr Blair, Rachel his wife and for the people of Monk Bretton where Fr Blair continues to serve as curate.
Coffee Morning this Saturday at 10.00 - 11.15am (Mass at 9.30am - All Welcome). Saint Helen's will be open on Saturday for all wanting to know more, either about the building and our history, or for those wanting to know more about our faith. We're also available to support those seeking baptism or confirmation, or wanting to plan a wedding, or just to come for a chat.
