This is Taffy with his favourite toy, Molly 😊 He has grown so much since I last saw him, but still as gorgeous 😊 He worked super hard this morning practicing some exercises which will help with issues including jumping up and nipping. When dealing with any problems we need to understand & address the reason it is happening and correctly manage while he is still learning. His owners now have lots of new skills to put into action, & with patience practice & effective communication, Taffy should begin to make steady progress 😊

My day started meeting this clever girl Bo 😊 We met at the park to improve her recall and she did fantastic!! A reliable recall is pretty easy to teach a dog, but only if done in the right way. Being lots of fun and using the correct rewards, along with consistency and patience, you will achieve success 😊 After some practice and a nice walk, Bo definitely deserved a nice relaxing lay down 😊

A big well done to Ruggles 😊 I had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful girl today to help her owners with her puppy training. She did fantastic and was picking the exercises up really quickly 😊 We covered all the important basics along with how to prevent and manage any behaviours such as jumping up. In this video, she was having lots of fun while learning the beginnings of a reliable recall and to sit instead of jumping up.... Great work Ruggles, see you next week 😊

Well done to everyone in class this morning 😊 This lesson concentrated on how to help their puppy’s confidence, so they can happily cope with everyday situations. We covered various subjects such as grooming, vet visits & appropriate dog to dog greetings . Happy positive experiences around different objects & noises is important, so puppies don’t become frightened of them. The big broom came out but wasn’t welcomed by all the puppies, but their owners have now learnt how to i...ntroduce anything so it doesn’t cause them concern. As this video shows we used hats, umbrellas, hi viz, glasses & even fake beards (no one chose to wear those, so I had to πŸ˜‚). So if you have a puppy, help their confidence by introducing, & helping them, happily cope with anything you think they may encounter throughout their life & of course play dress up πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

How cute is this face 😊 I had the pleasure of meeting this pretty puppy Luna, & her owners, today. She is already a good girl so we started by introducing the most important skills for her to learn. These include focus, self control, name response & of course having lots of fun πŸ˜ƒ She did fantastic, and I’m sure when I see her next she will have made even more progress. Well done to Luna & her owners, happy practicing 😊

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Thought this was appropriate after my post yesterday! So mischievious but he is so funny you can't help but laugh!!

I was lucky enough to meet such a cute lovable puppy today called Sprinkles πŸ™‚ His owners do have other names for him, including Motormouth πŸ˜‚, as he just doesn't stop using his mouth to chew or eat eat absolutely everything in his path. Ring any bells to any of you?? We tend to use our hands to check things out, but dogs & puppies use their mouths. They are pretty inquisitive so if anything is left lying around, they may just have to check it out! Where possible, put anythin...g out of their reach you don't want them to have. They cannot differentiate between things like a toy, your shoe, the remote control or a table leg, if it's about it's fair game. If you do catch them with something they shouldn't have, please don't rush over to try to get it. All you may do is teach them how to get you to play the fun game of chase πŸ˜‚

I caught up with this beautiful girl Millie today 😊 Walking her is no longer a battle, she has made great progress with her owners no longer getting dragged down the street! Today we covered how to start encouraging Millie to be calmer indoors. We need to praise & reward good actions, but it’s also important we are aware of the emotions we are rewarding & encouraging. A big well done Millie for all your great progress πŸ‘πŸ‘

My day started with meeting this handsome giant, say hi to Ludwik 😊 He is such a lovely boy, but very confused and lacks confidence causing reactions, both indoors and out. His owners now have simple exercises to put into place which Ludwik will understand and respond to. These exercises will also help their relationship, bond & trust. Having a St Bernard myself, who also had similar issues when I first got her, I could relate with the problems his owners were experiencing. Any dog with behaviour issues can be stressful, but having such a large strong dog makes everything more challenging! With patience, consistency & effective communication I’m sure Ludwik will begin to improve 😊

All puppies did great this morning, well done everyone and really pleased to hear you are already seeing progress πŸ‘πŸ‘ This morning’s lesson we concentrated on undesirable behaviours. We discussed many of the reasons they happen and how we can prevent them starting in the first place. Managing their actions will help set them up for success instead of giving them any opportunities to make mistakes. You all have you weekly Puppy Practice Plan to follow, so happy practicing 😊😊... See you next week 😊 Here are a few random pictures I took

🐢😒 DON'T MAKE YOUR DOG SAD!! 😒🐢 ALWAYS LET THEM KNOW WHEN THEY HAVE BEEN GOOD!! πŸ˜€ During all the 1 to 1 sessions I have done the past few days, owners generally start by telling me all the behaviours or training they are struggling with. After listening, if I then ask what good behaviours their dog does that they love & want to continue, it can go silent. Stop spending so much time trying to change any undesIrable behaviours and start concentrating on, and praising/rewarding,... every single thing they do you like, and want to continue. This is so quick & simple to do, and can have a positive impact on your dog's overall behaviour.

You're amazing!!! Our dog was growling at everyone and everything including children that play where we live. After just one session he has completely changed. I'm looking forward to continuing this behaviour and having more sessions with you. I really cannot thank you enough xxx we did a one on one home session

User

Wonderful positive attitude and so patient. Thank you Lisa for your brilliant support, really appreciate how you have handled Rodders and the progress Peter has made.

User

This lady is amazing I have a rescue dog who is fear aggressive towards other dogs. I have struggled to get this under control since I adopted him in August 2015 having been to other trainers. But After only 3 sessions 1 per week here we have had a breakthrough and my dog reacted really well to two different dogs. I have recommended this lady to loads of people.

User

Our one to one session with our puppy has taught us so much about how to communicate with him to teach him how to behave. We have seen immediate results with less nipping and jumping up. Our very nervous daughter is also now on the floor playing with our puppy as she knows how to handle him when he gets over excited. I cannot recommend Lisa at Saintly Dogs highly enough!

User

User

Lisa thank you so much for your help so far with Jax! Yesterday I came back and my welcome home was far more controlled than previously and he was far less stressed! (Still lots to practice though!)

This morning we gave Jax his breakfast using the ideas you gave us! We used his kong, scattered the biscuits indoors and some outdoors and the best (which he figured out way too quick) was some under his bowl! He ate better and had fun! Thanks Lisa!!

You have taught me how to help Jax's anxiety and I am forever grateful! If people need a dog trainer then Lisa is your lady!!

User

Lisa runs a fab class, my puppy has learnt loads already and I feel confident he will learn more as we go along

Lisa is always on hand for any tips or questions you need

She a fountain of puppy knowledge

Thank you so much for turning my mental pup into just a slightly crazy one οΏ½

User

Lisa is amazing! I asked for her help when my lively cockapoo Ethel's behaviour started getting uncontrollable and very tiresome. She had escaped a few times and went missing for 15 minutes which made me start to worry about her safety. I had really lost my confidence and felt I wasn't a good owner. Yesterday, the door was open and Ethel went into the front garden. I went into panic mode and got ready for a mission to get her in. I called "back" and amazingly she came back straight away! I couldn't believe it! She is walking a lot better on the lead, has stopped jumping up most of time and sits to say please all the time. I couldn't recommend Saintly Dogs anymore. Thank you Lisa your a star!
