What can I say? ItŌĆÖs beautifully decorated and the attention to detail is amazing. TheyŌĆÖve thought of everything from a Welcome Basket for myself and my dog to milk and eggs in the fridge. ItŌĆÖs a little piece of luxury in the heart of Exmoor. AND you can take your dog. WhatŌĆÖs not to love! ’┐Į
Well have just spent our second break at Salad Days and can honestly say that we will be booking three separate weeks at least in 2018-our new place of choice ! Brett and Susan have a fantastic attention to detail and no shortcuts have been made- welcome baskets,dog tags,high quality fittings & fixtures and loads of thoughtful touches with fab interior design all in the most dog friendly area that you could think of ,look forward to returning in March xx
We've just had 3 blissful days at Salad Days and absolutely loved it. Brett and Susan you must be so proud of what you've achieved there, we honestly couldn't fault it. It was great to meet you both, and the famous Maverick and Lola. Can't wait to see Holi Moli when we come back in September. Not much more to say that everyone hasn't said before - 5 stars doesn't seem enough! Dexter and Sonny say thank you for making them feel so at home, they've had the best time ever - and so have we! :) xx
We have never stayed at Brett and Susan's chalet, as we know them as friends and live locally, but have watched them over the last two or three years working long hours, researching and using their websites to the potential in order to create a very special place for people to holiday. Dunster Beach is the ultimate for long ago memories of seaside holidays, where children can play safe on their scooters and bikes, eat ice creams, have fun on the beach and rock pools and the play areas, and lake with the wildlife are an absolute delight. To stay in Salad Days is the icing on the cake..Brett & Sue deserve every award they have achieved....and more!
We had a lovely break at Salad Days. As soon as you walk in it is complete relaxation. Everything is of high quality and beautifully designed for comfort. Perfect if you have a dog, with walks around the lake and Dunster Beach very close. We certainly did not want to leave this lovely chalet. You will have a job to find anywhere that takes dogs that is better than this. We look forward to seeing you again.
We absolutely loved it at salad days and have already booked to go back again next year. The chalet was perfect and had everything you needed. It's in a great spot overlooking the lake and there are lots of beautiful places to visit close by. Would definitely recommend it !!!!!

Like all treasures, it's natural to want to keep them to yourself, but it's impossible not to want to tell all about this little piece of heaven that Brett and Susan have created!
Words we said whilst in Salad Days... Cute, cosy, thoughtful, brilliant, fun, clever, ingenious, quality, comfy, mod cons, considered, high end, home from home, I could go on but you get my drift!
As we were self catering, I had packed the car full with the usual essentials: Beach towels, tea towels, our own pillows, hair dryer, washing up stuff, kitchen roll, the cafeti├©re (yes, an essential!) It ALL stayed in the car. Brett and Susan have not only thought of every essential but have gone a step further, and all to a very high standard, and this is what makes Salad Days so special.
The welcome basket was lovely too (husband devoured fudge immediately whereas I was grateful for the milk for a cuppa!) including fresh bread and eggs for brekkie the next morning.
The site was also spotless, quiet, with a lovely lake, a beautiful private beach and a handy little shop.
Salad Days is ideal for people who don't want to camp, like their own space, prefer self catering, appreciate good quality, want to try something a bit different and fun and want a brilliant base to explore the beautiful coast and countryside.
So, although I am sharing with you and all my friends, don't all book at once, as I want to go back!! Salad Days... Miss you already x
Just arrived home after a long weekend at Salad Days In Dunster. This is such a beautiful beach hut and everything you could want is catered for. Susan and Brett have truly done a wonderful job and well worthy of 5 stars. The thoughtful touches not just for us but also for our Dog Jessie are brilliant. We will definitely be returning as soon as we can decide on dates.
I stayed here last week for 3 nights with my boyfriend and our little dog holly. We absolutely loved it. It was so relaxing and the cabin is stunning. Brett and Susan have literally thought of everything. I am sure we will definitely return and will recommend it to all our friends and family X
Having stayed in a lot of chalets on Dunster beach over the past 50 years, this is the perfect one for couples, quality and attention to detail is really fantastic making it a brilliant time no matter what the weather! No other chalet comes close. Thank you Brett and Susan will be back as soon as we can!
Having just returned from salad days on a short break, I cannot recommend this beach hut enough, Brett and Susan have thought of everything, even down to heated flooring, we will certainly be coming back, Tim, Karina (Dillon the poodle)
Have returned from our holiday at this amazing Beach Hut. I had high expectations and was not disappointed. Not only is the accommodation of a high standard so is the park where it is. Susan and Brett are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. I now have a sulky dog who is missing the wildlife and her beach walks. We had such a wonderful time. Good job we have booked Holi Moli for next year.
Had a wonderful short break at Salad Days. It was perfect and we had a really relaxing long weekend watching all the wildlife. Close to the beach, walking distance to Dunster Beach, Dunster Castle and steam railway.. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. We can't wait to return. You have created a real gem and well deserve the 5* rating.
Had a very relaxing and chilled stay at Salad Days ... couldn't believe how Brett and Susan have managed to supply absolutely everything you would need for a break away into a beach hut ..... loved the decor and the setting and appreciated how my very much loved dogs were made so welcome .... thank you ’┐Į
Fabulous place, we had a wonderful break with Spanner our dog and none of us wanted to leave. Brett and Susan have got everything just right - from the pre-arrival communication onwards, they simply want you to enjoy their creation to the full and we certainly did so thank you - we'll be back!
