Why do we celebrate New Year's Day on January 1?
Our calendar dates back to 45 B.C., when Julius Caesar ordered up a 12-month calendar starting on January 1 based on one complete Earth's orbit around the sun. The Julian calendar was imperfect because it was based on seasons, indeed the New Year's celebrations continued to drift back and forth in the calendar. Just in 1582 Pope Gregory XIII implemented the Gregorian calendar as we know it.
Celebrate with us the beginning of t...he New Year as Pope Gregory XIII established!
You will enjoy a glass of bubbly with canapes on arrival, followed by a 3-course dinner and the best entertainment ever thanks to our resident DJ. But there is more: you can also stay over if you like!

We stayed in room 1 on new years eve lovely big room. Enjoyed listening to the piper while we enjoyed canapés. The meal in the marquee was excellent. The disco was great enjoyed dancing the night away to our favourite tunes. Breakfast very nice. This hotel is a real Gem. Thanks to Stella the lovely waitress who looked after us at night for our meal and breakfast. Josh who ran the bar new years eve he did an excellent job.

User

We stayed here as a treat from our children, what a pleasant surprise, from the moment we arrived we couldn't fault the service.

We had a deal with cream tea which was delious, so we only ate from the bar menu which was also delious.

The room was spotless and very comfortable and breakfast was good to.

We as for packed lunch for our day out at Warwick Castle which was ready and waiting when we booked out.

Highly recommended a stay and will definitely return.

User

All the staff including Amelia we great nothing was to much very attentive and great team.

Thoroughly enjoyed a nights stay in Salford hall. Stayed in an amazing top floor room, in the old part of the hotel, with a gorgeous and very comfy four poster bed and stunning bathroom. The staff were all so lovely and welcoming. Would definitely recommend a stay here and hope to return in the near future.

User

This is such a lovely hotel, ideally situated for Stratford, Warwick and Cotswolds. It is comfortable, spotlessly clean and welcoming. The staff are amazing. Always helpful, especially Josh who works in the bar and is one of the nicest lads you could meet. The food was lovely, delicious and piping hot. Would highly recommend it to anyone

User

Stayed here as a surprise weekend treat . What a little gem it is. From the first moment you pull onto the drive the gardens are well kept & stocked with beautiful flowers & shrubs. Then you see the front of this stunning period hall it really does have the wow factor. As you walk into reception there is a huge open fireplace with incredible old portraits on the walls, the decor & furniture is in keeping with the surroundings. We were allocated our room which was in the outside buildings a little disappointed that we weren't in main hall but when we opened our door this was soon forgotten , we had a fantastic four poster bed with lovely oak furniture nice & quiet. We had a lovely sparkling afternoon tea whilst sat in the conservatory staff were efficient polite & friendly. We didn't eat at hotel that night but tried the local pub the coach & horses at Harvington cheap cheerful & cosy atmosphere. Breakfast the next morning was delicious plenty of choice & freshly cooked. Again staff were helpful friendly & professional. Would highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

Just spent a lovely few days at Salford Hall Hotel, it is steeped in history, if only some of those nooks and crannies could talk.

Exceptional Hotel in every way. The food and menu is absolutely amazing, coupled with great courteous service.

We were in room 12 on the top floor and our suite was first class with a really comfortable super king-sized four poster bed.

Bathroom was just pure luxury with some lovely toiletries, pure bliss on all fronts.

Staff were polite and nothing was too much for them .

Excellent hotel and will be coming back

A beautiful looking hotel with excellent staff very good food, the steak we had on the Friday evening was the best I have eaten in a very long time. Added ,to that our room was very comfortable and clean, the gardens were lovely. We would have no problems in recommending this hotel to anyone.

User

Very nice place with pleasant staff, bar man is very good and helpful

User

Location is good for my travel next day, bar food was good and a good price. Setting in grounds well looked after. For a man in a big van then much better than your budget road side hotels

User

I seldom give five stars but this establishment comes very close.

Wonderstaff (Josh, take a bow); excellent and reasonably priced food in the most ambient of surroundings with attentive service.

It’s an old building, which is its charm, so if you expect 21st century pretentious facilities don’t bother; what you will get it comfort, cleanliness and a beautiful atmosphere.

All the people who work here are gems (cue Malcolm), which goes a long way into making a stay very pleasurable ... Salford Hall ... don’t change

User

Great couple of nights here...breakfast great...maybe the waitress could smile a little

Steak night was fantastic and the service too

The bar needs a better Gin than Gordons pink for a flavoured 1

But great stay

User

We stayed here for a couple of nights as as Groupon deal. The hotel looks lovely and is filled with character and history. We stayed in the main building. Our room was nicely decorated and was clean.

The mattress on our bed needed replacing as it sagged in the middle and during our stay our shower needed replacing. We are in the restaurant for brealfast; there wasn't a great variety and although the 'got aspects are cooked to order I found my eggs royal to taste very plain. We are dinner from the bar menu once and the food was nice but nothing special.

would I stay again? Maybe
