Fantastic News: Following my post last night of Tony the Homeless Gent's missing belongings which he's left on the Rows on Bridge Street last night. It turned out that they weren't stolen at all but removed by the Council as it was the night of the Parade and instructions were given for all unknown items to be removed as they were a 'security Risk' One of Street Scenes employees took it upon himself to drive in his own vehicle, in his own time to were the bags were taken fo...r 'tipping'.... This was after working a 12 hour shift. Tony's items including his medication were returned to him last night just after 9'oclock. We take for granted the work that Streetscene carry out every day and never appreciate that these workers work extremely hard and for such long hours just to make Chester the clean City that it is! Tony is so grateful to have his belongings back and I am just so grateful for the kindness shown by the Street Cleaner....name unknown! A Happy Ending 😁 Thank you Street Scene.

Please help! One of the Homeless left all his belongings on Bridge Street Row West (above the Slug and Lettuce) tonight and someone has taken everything! Please share with the hope that he'll get his belongings back asap. He's walking the streets now trying to find a street cleaner and he's very poorly πŸ˜₯

Update on the Assault on the Homeless Guy yesterday lunch time. Firstly I would like to thank all that shared my post together with all that commented in a positive manner. I have today spoken with a Police Officer who was at a Police Stand on Bridge Street CHESTER. I have been told that the person that carried out the assault has since phoned the Police himself to report the incident. Apparently he was assaulted and he retaliated! Considering the Homeless Gent was still in... a sitting position when he was spat at and kicked I really can't say how he can say such a thing....The Mind Boggles! I have suggested that perhaps they could check the CCTV at the Cross but unless the Homeless gent makes a complaint himself there's not much more the Police can do. We've also checked with Quinn's and it wasnt one of their vans... I don't think that there's much more I can do really.😐

Is there anyone in Chester today that could look out for this vehicle? White Ford Pick up Truck Reg no. AY66 TXT It's a Works Vehicle carrying Temporary Traffic Lights on the back. Probably working locally as he was parked on Bridge Street near Kingkabs. The driver assaulted a Homeless Guy who was sitting on the floor outside York Roast, for no reason, he kicked him and spat in his face! 😠... The workman responsible was in his mid 20's with a 'Designer' beard/stubble. The Homeless man doesn't want the Police informed as he'll be moved off the streets and will lose his 'spot' πŸ˜₯ I couldn't do anything to help as I was serving customers but Fode saw the idiot getting back into the cab of his works van. This happened today at approx 12:45. I'm absolutely disgusted and sad that this happened, especially bearing in mind that I know that this homeless man has problems with his health πŸ˜₯

when you first walk into the shop the welcome is so friendly and it would take you hours to look around such wonderful gifts . Its a must to stop for a coffee and cake, as its such a great price. But best of all if the weather is good you can sit in the garden to have your coffee, wonderful

User

my first visit just the other day, lived in chester all my life, and i've never had a nicer coffee experience, bye bye starbucks, bye bye costa, now i know where to go . Big sorry to my mother, who will now have to spend a fortune on me in the gorgeous and magical gift shop, i want everything, there are sooo many shiny things. Basically, I felt really at home as soon i went in, cos the staff/owners are just so happy and chilled, I have already nagged quite a few of my friends to check it out, so yay, can't wait to go again . xx

User

What a beautiful little shop I didn't stop for tea and cake but once I walked in through the door I was mesmerised I felt like I was in the lion the witch and the wardrobe and just wanted to walk around and explore Staff was very helpful and happy to tell you about the history of the shop The garden was lovely but when you go inside go to the top floor and take time to look at the ceiling beautiful

Kind and lovely folks run the shop. I stopped by for a coffee and stayed a bit to get a little work done while relaxing upstairs (Big comfy couches and chairs and tables). There are magical gifts and unique treasures everywhere you turn....wonderful spot to shop and relax. Watch for fairies, though, the little buggers are everywhere. :-)

Hello! Just wanted to leave a review about this fantastic shop! I stumbled across this gem when I came to visit my friend at Chester university and we were wandering down town and I'm so glad I did. It was amazing! They have tarot cards, incense (and holders, including some really beautiful dragon ones that I was tempted to buy!), pendulums, bags, wands.... Pretty much everything! And all very reasonably priced too! If I was a rich woman, I'm pretty sure I would of bought the majority of the shop's stock! I bought an absolutely gorgeous dragon bottle holder from here and I love it! I've had loads of compliments on it and its becoming quite the show piece! It's made of high quality resin with beautiful craftsmanship and everyone has mistaken it for being made of actual metal as it does look very much as if it was fashioned from pewter or steel. They even have a garden at the back of the shop where you can enjoy some TLC with tea and cake! I didn't try any cause my friend and I had already stuffed our faces earlier, but the cakes looked delicious! The owners were both lovely and very helpful as I took my time deciding which dragon I was going to take home and were very friendly. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this shop for both gifts for others and treats for yourself, as with such a large selection of very quirky and charming items, there's bound to be something for everyone!

As you might have guessed... This is not my review, it was from a lovely lady that is no longer on Fb. Unfortunately she left the Review as a message. It was lovely to see so I thought it should be shared with my other customers.... I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did

Have been a few times before. It's lovely inside and outside. I think the whole idea of having a garden and selling spiritual stuff as well is so nice. My favourite shop and cafΓ© in the whole of Chester!!

User

Great shop with all sorts of knicks and knacks, am spoilt for choice in it.

User

Found this shop by accident while walking to another shop so popped in and was delighted to find the Secret Garden at the back it felt a bit like the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, there was something quite spiritual about the garden and the tea and cake was great. If you go upstairs there is a poem on the wall written by a man who has autism, who comes into the shop for some quiet times as he doesn't really like people. It was a lovely experience and one to be repeated and recommended !

User

Found this place today in Chester city centre. The secret garden is just beautiful and so peaceful, a real little gem in this lovely City. Sally was very friendly and the tea and cake were just perfect. Definitely call in if you are passing this way.

User

First time visiting today and the shop and Sally are just magical. She has everything from incense cones to Game of Thrones. From the upstairs sitting area for a coffee to a beautiful secret garden out the back. I definitely recommend a visit xx

User

Best spot for a brew or a coffee in town. When the weather is bad you've the best ceiling in the northwest to enjoy upstairs and when the weather is good you've a proper little eden to sit in out the back. Sally and Foad will look after you!
