This place is the hub of Bristol's salsa community, being the most regular & central salsa night in Bristol. The beginners class is always full, there is a really great bunch who regularly attend Wednesdays intermediate classes and Stellan does a great job at arranging the Friday parties with guest teachers most weeks. If you love salsa & bachata then it pays to get involved with the great community that centres around salsa souls :)

User

This place has been an amazing find! I love coming here. Stellan is enthusiastic and welcoming, especially to beginners, which included me 5 months ago. (I knew zero about partner dancing let alone salsa then - but it was always fun!) Lovely atmosphere, and I am thankful to both Stellan and Mo for introducing me to salsa here.

User

The Salsa beginners class are very good, I discovered a passion for salsa, the teachers are lovely and professional and you can meet nice people :)

User

Stellan is an excellent teacher and this is a fantastic place to learn Salsa. As quite a shy person I was a little nervous about learning to dance, but I found Salsa Souls had a really positive and encouraging attitude. The Friday parties are really good fun too!

User

Starting dancing can feel intimidating, but Salsa Souls has a fantastic welcoming group of people. There are Salsa, Bachata and Salsa/Bachata nights to choose from with both absolute beginner and improver levels.

Edit - OK heres how good this group is, the venue closed in Autumn 2017. The people who attend arranged a meeting to work out how to help the teachers find and secure a replacement venue. Classes were back on before the end of the year.

User

Salsa Souls is my happy place, I love it! I decided to take a Salsa lesson on a whim as i'd just moved to Bristol and didn't know any one. Since then I have made lots of wonderful friends and found a life long passion. Stellan and all of the teachers are fantastic and the atmosphere is brilliant. If you haven't tried it then definitely come along and give it ago. Before long you'll be like me and attending 2-3 times a week!

User

I've been to salsa soul in Bristol and truly enjoyed the class with Stellan, a great teacher!

There was a fantastic vibe in the room: everyone was friendly and enjoying themselves. I definitely recommend Salsa Souls!

User

I've been attending Salsa souls frequently for the last year and a half and it really has been great to take up dance as a hobby. Whether you are a seasoned veteran or a beginner with shoes on the wrong way round, this is the place to be. There are two levels, absolute beginner/beginner, and Improver/intermediate, these Classes are worked in a rotational system so there is no need to bring partners as you'll dance with everyone at your level just by simply showing up. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming with superb scope for meeting new people and forming friendships,. Every level of expertise or even lack of, is catered for, so there is no pressure and you can progress at your own pace. Both Stellan and Mo are a bottomless pits of Latin dancing knowledge, not only are their teaching methods effective and easy to follow, but they are always happy to dedicate time to help you get to grips with moves and techniques. They'll have you busting a groove in no time!

User

I was thinking to join Salsa classes since a long time and finally I decided to drop in Salsa Souls after I heard a friend who had just started going there to learn salsa and have some fun! It was end of September 2015 I joined Salsa Souls as a beginner in Salsa. I was nervous on the first day although I love dancing and dance & music has been one of my passion!

Firstly the dance floor was pretty good, spacious which impressed me and secondly a nice group Latin warmup. Further throughout the class, I liked the way the instructor (Annabel) taught the beginner's class. At the end of class I spoke to Stellan (owner of Salsa Souls) letting him know that couple of years ago I did try basics of salsa and it’s been a long gap that I didn’t dance since then. He said me he would need to dance with me to see if my basics are strong enough for me to jump directly to the improver/intermediate class! That was a sign of a good teacher to me on the first day itself!

After four weeks of classes I felt so confident with my basics, I learnt the techniques not just from Stellan but also from Mo (another instructor besides Stellan) and Annabel (teaching improver’s class on Wednesday)! It’s almost two months I joined Salsa Souls, I am now in improver's class in Salsa and in bachata (started as a complete beginner to bachata). I see myself improving with every class and I learn every time I dance!

Salsa Souls will be my first recommendation to anyone who wants to learn Salsa or Bachata from base with perfect techniques, timing and develop skills to follow/lead any man/woman respectively! Fun socials after every class makes it more interesting. Friday parties with guest teachers who are one of the best Latin dance teachers from around the UK and rest of Europe are an added bonus!

Stellan is one of those rare teachers who dances quite often with the beginners and not just with the advance people, and so does his advanced students, which is quite encouraging thing to do for the beginners!

Not many teachers teach you about every little technique, trick, frame, body structure and styling all at the same time with patience, but at Salsa Souls you get that under one roof! Very friendly and fun environment, amazing teachers who are always there to suggest/help you, reasonable prices for classes, spacious dance floor, just love it!

One must try it to know it!

Thank you Salsa Souls, you have definitely become a part of my weekly routine now! :) x

I was looking for a casual way to learn salsa and meet new people. After my first visit I was hooked at Salsa souls! friendly people, great teachers, great music, and great parties!

User

I was an absolute beginner when I started and the classes were perfect for a newbie. The teachers Mo and Stellan are really approachable and everyone in the classes are really friendly. I highly recommend Salsa Souls!

User

I turned up out of the blue not knowing what to expect. I'm not from around here so didn't know the salsa scene. I had a great night, everyone was friendly and I'll definitely be back for more :-D

User

I love it ... I wanted to find a social group where I can get back into dance and enjoy myself, make new friends ... This is just that and the instructors are brilliant

User

I first came to Salsa Souls in Feb 2014, and almost 4 years down the line I still go twice a week pretty much all year round! The welcoming atmosphere and ‘breaking-it-down’ style of teaching at Salsa Souls has not only helped me to grow my dancing skills, but has also massively improved my confidence and enhanced my social life. I only went in to Salsa Souls to try something new – little did I know that it would lead to dancing being a huge part of my lifestyle! Come along and try it out; join the Salsa Souls family :)

User

I feel so lucky to have found Salsa Souls. It’s a wonderfully fun and friendly place to learn how to dance (whatever your starting point, even as a complete beginner) and the community is welcoming and supportive. Oh yes, and the Friday parties are AWESOME! :-D

User

Here is where I first introduced myself into the Salsa world and I can tell that Stellan and his team will work with you to raise your dancing standards, building technique and apply that to fun when music is on.

User

Hands down, best salsa classes in Bristol. Stellan, Annabel and Mo are not only great dancers but also awesome teachers. It doesn't matter if you haven't danced before or if you are an experienced salsero, everyone has fun equally.

User
